Judging people

Why are some people judgemental?

I think it is because they are not happy in their own lives so they sit back and judge others to try and make themselves feel better and try to cover their own downfall...I just ignore people like this they are really not worth the time to worry over.

It's just a pathetic way for small-minded people to feel like they're better than someone else out there.

You might want to avoid the threads about Britney, the 200-lb kid, politics, banning the use of the word Nazi and anything about relationships. There's a handful of truly miserable people on this site.

Um , "It's just a pathetic way for small-minded people to feel like they're better than someone else out there" is a total judgment call... Every one judges in one way or another. Some people here are simply ruder in their approach. And dissing those who cast judgment smacks of an effort to make oneself feel better than others...

Anytime you have people in a large group, there will be those what don't follow the social protocol/desires of the larger group. And in a place such as this where there's anonymity, there's nothing that can be done about it, so it's best to either ignore it or avoid it.

Thank you! Couldn't have said it better myself.

Everyone is judgemental. I think it's how we sort information. Some are harsher or more rigid that others. Some express those sentiments out loud and some don't.

I, for one, am extremely judgemental, but in the course of time I've learned to accept the part of myself and I've learned to realize what the source of a particular decision I've made. Many times the "universe" has kicked my rear for it and other times it has save my rear. It really all depends how someone expresses it. On the flip side I've learned to be a lot more accepting of people and letting them be who they are.

Those who are judgemental are most likely angry, scared and have been hurt. We have to make the choice for ourselves to engage that or let it go and not engage with them at all.

There's a good deal of negative threads on this board and I can't read them. There's enough negativity and frightening stuff going on in the world to add that to the mix, and personally, my time and consciousness.
