Enviga

I just tried it for the first time yesterday (i had the berry flavor). It is a coca cola product which has 5 calories and is being marketed as a "calorie burning drink". I did not get it bc I really believed that it would burn calories, but just because I like to try new stuff. I found that it has a delicious taste and it gave me sort of a buzz... like I just had a triple shot of caffine or something (and had a mild appetite suppresant effect). I checked the website and it says that it contains 100mg of caffine: "about the same level found in a cup of coffee".

I am curious to know what others think about this drink. Thanks!

spam alert. You can tell a spammer when they link to a flash landing page.

OTOH, it says a lot about PT that the company would bother to spam us!

OP here - I am not a spammer. I have been using PT for over a year. I just wanted to see what other people think (i.e. it is a load of horse manure or they love it, etc.) I have gotten some really interesting advice about products, diets, recipes, etc. on PT.

Its a link to a splash page - total spam. plus the product is total rubbish, complete trash. you may as well drink lighter fluid.

it's obviously not "spam" when a PT member, namely dres85, said they posted it. it is not spam if she isn't trying to sell you something or give you a computer virus-she's asking if anyone has tried it. yes we all know the stuff is probably bad for you-most energy drinks are, but she is asking if anyone knows anything about the product. lay off spam-queen.

what is a splash page? (I'm afraid to try to the link!)

Nothing wrong with that link (just the Spam-crazy poster's brain. I think you're the one who got those hilarious WW cards from the 70's taken off). It's just the product's site. "Flash" means the site is animated, "splash" means that you get a little animation while the flash is loading. Won't hurt you. Though if you really want to make an informed decision about this product, the page trying to sell it to you might not be my first stop.

I am unsure what vwv is, but sorry to OP for implying you are a spammer.

While everyone has the right to an opinion, I made an assumption, which is wrong. Sorry again.

I do, however, take offense to someone suggesting we try a Coca Cola product on a website designed to promote health. This brand has been linked, time and time again, to obesity, cancer, mood swings, osteoporosis, etc. Also, Coca Cola products can be highly addictive. Please do your research before trying any Coca Cola product, whether its "calorie burning" or not.

Please, I am not being 'holier than though'. I honestly want people to think carfully before drinking these types of products.

i guess you've missed the threads about "what's easy?", "diet pills-do they work?", "meal replacements", "smoking", "help! i gained 2 pounds!". people post all sorts of questions/comments on this forum. it's not all going to be to your liking. if you don't like a topic, as has been suggested time & time again, move on to a different subject. there's a sucker in every crowd and there's someone else looking for a sucker in every crowd, too.

makes sense. absolutely no person should have an opinion about brands, or anything for that matter, no matter how polite, rational and well thought out

oh, wow! this is just what i've been waiting for!! a healthy coke!! thank goodness that some duel member of mensa and the fda finally came up with this ground-breaking idea!! if they really want to make headway, they'll infuse vegtables and fruits with some sort of vitamins / minerals to make them healthy, too.

I am having the green tea flavor for lunch. I don't believe it is going to help me lose weight, but it is an interesting taste and is nice and full of caffeine. I could see substituting this for a diet coke once in awhile, depeding on the costs.

Considering the appalling state the hippy sell-outs and baby-boomers have left the world in, I say drink all the tasty chemicals you can, die young and leave a well-preserved corpse.

Or, eat organic and live and see an extra 5 years of degradation.
