Not losing weight
I have been on Peertrainer for almost 2 months, cutting back calories to about 1500 or less a day, working out at least three times a week, usually more and the numbers on the scale have hardly moved! I am 5'5, around 135 lbs and I would like to get down to 125. Any suggestions?

it's hard to lose weight when you're so close to your goal. and though you haven't lost much weight in the past couple months, i bet you're in better shape. if you want to drop pounds, you may have to take a closer look at what kind of foods make up those 1500 calories. I mean you probably aren't eating 1500 calories worth of candy bars, but perhaps there are too many carbs or refined sugar or something like that. I found that the closer I got to my goal weight, the more disciplined I had to be about what kinds of things I ate. "Moving more, eating less" no longer sufficed, though that is what helped me lose my initial 20 pounds.
Good luck!

when you say "working out", what do you mean? are you doing at least 30 minutes of cardio, or weight training each time? when you have less to lose than most people, it is harder to lose weight, you may need to bump up your efforts-3 times a week may be enough exercise to maintain weightloss, but probably isn't enough to lose weight. try exercising at least 5 times a week for a minimum of 30 minutes each time and try to be as active as possible during other parts of your day. If you go to the grocery store-park in a far away spot and walk. take the stairs instead of the elevator. etc. little things add up fast.
also, are you really eating 1500 calories? or is it possible that you aren't adding correctly each day? or not estimating your portions correctly? not judging you, it's just that these are typically the reasons why all of us have trouble losing weight-we aren't really working as hard as we could.
good luck!

Are you eating enough?
Sometimes if you cut back too much and also exercsie, your body will start to conserve and won't burn calories as efficiently. Try eating small, healthly snacks between meals and maybe adding a few calories, at least on days that you exercise.

OP- I know how you feel- it sucks when your weight doesn't move at all. I've been stuck at the same weight for the last 2 months myself.
Maybe you could try one of those body-fat measuring scales- perhaps you're losing fat but gaining muscle...
Either way, think of the exercise as a good thing all by itself, and if you aren't starving yourself at 1500 calories a day, think of the money you're saving on food!

I was pretty much in the exact same spot at the end of January and heard about the up day down day diet. So far it seem to be working slowly - losing 3 lbs in the month of February. I know that is not a lot but I am determined to keep at it with a goal of being slim and healthy. Age has something to do with it I suspect; I will be turning 46 this month.
I think you need to just do something different to give your self a jolt to get your body to cooperate.
