old thread revivals

wow! i finally understand why reviving old threads is annoying in comparison to bringing up a topic from the past.

like when people repost a blog you can find in the public blog section. or when people post logs from their private groups. what's the point?

it seems apparent that someone has been reviewing posts from last winter & spring and then bringing them back to life.

who cares - to each his own. I resurrect and I start new ones. Why does it bother you?

Isn't that what the thread Nazi wants- for us to ressurect rather than start new threads? Or will she complain regardless?

a contrary opinion

If an old thread is incredibly long, I often don't care to read it, because it always seems to have a lot of nastiness involved. I would rather read a new one, before the nasties get to it. I would also like to hear what people say now rather than what other people said then. I see no reason why the shorter newer threads should bother anybody. You don't have to read them if you don't want to.

I don't get it either. Maybe they're just new people and don't know that the same topic has already been posted?
