Slip Management

I had a higher calorie lunch than usual today after sitting at a seminar all morning. It was really good pasta and I enjoyed it. At 3 PM they served fresh baked cookies that smelled wonderful. I avoided taking some and took a quick walk outside instead. This is a big accomplishment for me. Formerly, one slip and I was off on an eating binge for at least a few days. I'm practicing slip control (how I think of it) and this is my first success. I'm am determined to reprogram my thinking.

I committed to getting fit for nobody else but MYSELF. I've always wanted to lose weight for other people and it would work for a little bit and then it would stop. This time I'm doing it for ME!! I want to be the healthiest and happiest that I can be this year. My world came crashing down around me on New Year's day. I thought I wanted to crawl in a hole and just die. Now I know that I can still turn the year around to be the best year ever ... and only I can take charge and do it for ME.
