Losing over the long-term
I've lost about 20-25 pounds over the past 1 1/2 years. It seems as though, about every 10 pounds on this journey, I've got to up the intensity of something (eat fewer daily calories or increase daily exercise) to get solidly into the next 10-pound bracket. Are you having a similar experience?

I lost 10 lbs over the past year and a half and just cannot seem to lose any more! I've been losing and gaining the same 3lbs for the past 8 months, at least. Maybe I don't have the willpower to take it to the next level...
Though, at 5'1.5", I'm 116.4 lbs; I started at 127 lbs. So, I don't think I ever had much more than 10 lbs to go. I just want to lose maybe another 5...

Sometimes it's not about eating less or exercising more, but just doing those things differently.
My activity level is very high, so eating less would be counteractive. Recently, I started seeing a nutritionist after being stuck and hopeless (but still trying!) for 6 months. She redistributed my macronutrients and insisted on bigger breakfasts, and the scale is moving in the right direction again - finally. So I would suggest that next time you hit one of your 10-lb plateaus, you switch diets rather than pinch calories. There are many ways to apply the concepts of healthy eating - Zone, Abs Diet, Weight Watchers, GI (Glycemic Index), etc. - and they're all just different enough to shake things up.
