Sneaking around...

So I am an adult...have been for a while now. Yet when it comes to foods that I know arent healthy for me I feel like a 2 year old sneaking around for a cookie. I mean I find myself thinking about when and where and what excuses I could make up all so I can have some hot chocolate. Its not necessary I know but I cant help it.

I try and eat healthy for my sake. Not for anyone else. So if I am doing this for me and dont care about anyone else then why do I sneak around?

Dont get me wrong though. Most of the time I find myself sneaking and I just stop myself right then and there from partaking of whatever it was. I just dont know why im compelled to sneak around.

Any suggestions?

Stop the insanity! When I want a bowl of Berry Berry Captain Crunch, I have it!

Perhaps you're getting a kick out of "sneaking" around.

Lol, I sneak around to eat too. But, not food that's necessarily bad for me. Just food that's weird. I guess we're all embarassed about something that we want to eat, that we think other people will think that we shouldn't. For me, it's green olives straight out of the jar, and sometimes these pieces of dark chocolate that are actually "supposed" to be made into hot chocolate - my husband and I bought a jar, and I'll occasionally eat a few "chips" from it, which, in my rational mind, is far fewer calories than the amount that you're supposed to use to make a cup of hot cocoa with it, especially when you add the milk too. But, in my husband's mind, it's a waste of the money that we spent on the hot cocoa chips if i just eat them plain. So I only indulge when he's not around. And, the green olives, he just thinks I'm weird and teases me, so again, mostly just when he's not around.

3:36, I adore olives and can easily eat a bunch straight out of the jar, container, whatever is holding them. Though olives are very high in fat (that wonderful olive oil), it is monosaturated so it is the 'good' kind.
Fortunately for me, though I like chocolate, I can easily resist it.
