OA: Over Eaters Annonymous and Peertrainer
I recommended (in a whisper) to a member that maybe she should join OA. Was I way out of line? She's retired and I thought it would be a good place to get up in the morning to go to in addition to logging in here.

Hopefully that person will take it as constructive criticism, and not be upset. I don't think that anyone joined here to gain weight...so I cannot imagine that they would be offended.
I personally think it is a wonderful idea that alot of people could probably benefit from! I applaud you! *clap clap*

I don't know what to think. I don't know how I would take that.

I don't think you were out of line, but I do hope you phrased it carefully. If someone told me "I do this great thing...we get together every week and it's an awesome place to meet new people and get great support...and I was thinking you might like it, too...it's called OA and here's how you can join..." I would definitely not be offended. But if we were just getting to know each other, and you wrote "You overeat all the time, fatty. Why don't you join OA?" I'd be pretty offended. It's just so easy for electronic communication like this to be misinterpreted.
