I Am So Moody AND Mean Sometimes!!!

I eat a fairly healthy diet and exercise 5-6x a week and it seems like the days that I skip a workout, I'm ferociously moody and when I'm hungry (which most of us can relate), but I'm also kind of moody throughout the day. I snap at my husband, not all the time but a lot more often than I want. I'm very happy, I feel fulfilled in my relationship, my household is very financially stable (so it's not a money issue), I am happy with my body/looks (not a superficial issue)...what could it be?

Some history...I have had depression in the past and took Wellbutrin for 1 year and I have had anxiety and took zoloft for about 2 months...I don't feel symptoms for either depression or anxiety, I just notice that my moods are all over the place. Most of the time I'm totally fine, but I'd say 25% of my life is spent being a total bit#ch.

Anyone else go through this???

moody

I was on wellbutrin for a while and snapped at everyone all the time. I had no patience and was yelling at my children for no good reason. I never felt depressed or anxious while on Wellbutrin, just edgy. However, that lack of control of my emotions was enough for me to ask for help from my doctor. He said that it sometimes occurs on the higher doses of wellbutrin. He switched me to cymbalta and I no longer have that problem. Good luck.

It could be your blood sugar.

I have Hypoglycemia and what you are describing sounds very simular to what I go through, I get really really bitchy when I need food, Hubby has learned just to throw granola bars at me. I keep them in the car, office, and purse. I would sugesst adding a few more snacks during the day.

Check your calender, does this happen 2 wks prior to your period starting? Start taking a daily log of your moods (the site has a log to print out) if so look up PMDD Premenstral Dysmoric (SP) syndrome on the web. This is not like PMS it is much worse. I was very moody & got mean too. Which I never was either but in the last 5 years each year is worse. I saw a commercial for this on TV looked it up on the web & there are several meds out there that you can take during that 2 wks prior to your period. Went to the obgyn last month & the RX he gave me really made a difference & I don't see any side effects so is worth it for me. Good luck.
