who wants to do this with me?
So its friday afternoon and we're approaching that weekend danger zone...vegging out...dinner parties...bars...etc( esp if your on the east coast like me and its STILL raining).
I was thinking if a few ( or a bunch) of us made a plan together to really resist temptation this wknd and spend time doing other productive things that maybe we could come up with a way to reward ourselves on monday. Also we could log in a few times over the weekend for support.
Fri. Oct 14, 12:42pm
I'm in! I'll probably be helping my husband stain the fence, that's pretty productive. And maybe some weeding too. Oh, my back!

Great idea - I can't get to a computer and log-in over the weekend, and I tend to slip a little bit . . . I am going to plan on taking myself to the Met Museum - after I have done a nice brisk walk through Central Park (the rain be damned).

Update
I walked for 50 minutes today, and my husband is out buying a second paint brush so I can help him paint the fence today. I'm going to eat steak tonight, but I'll be really really good the rest of the weekend.

:(
This whole thing was my idea and I'm afraid I've failed. I just need a little help.
A friend came to visit from out of town and I completely threw my diet out the window. this is what I ate yesterday and today. Any ideas of what I should do to redeem myself?
Yesterday:
2 atkins bars
handful of pepperoni
string cheese
1/2 banana
bowl of granola
3 rum and diet cokes( we went to a cocktail party)
this morning I woke up and we went to a big brunch:
hashbrowns
4 slices bacon
1 piece of white toast
1 very big brownie.
We did then walk about 3 miles though!
I feel awful...what should I do to make up for it today and tomorrow? I also would like to avoid looking like a diet freak around my house guest.

To make up for your diet sins, drink 3 bloodymary's and say 5 hello dollys...JK
Walk some more, ride a bike together, play frisbee, anything outdoors away from food. Why not go to the museum if you have one around. That entails lots of walking and is entertaining for out of town guests.
If you go out for drinks, just drink club soda or 7Up. It will look like you are drinking like everyone else with the cup in your hand, but you'll have a low calorie option instead.
Go dancing! That will burn off some calories and have fun doing it!
