using Olive Oil on the Face?

I know there was an earlier thread on olive oil vs vaseline for the skin, but is there any particular value or harm in using olive oil for the face? I'm very into natural solutions, so anything in that vein would be helpful- thanks.

Dear 3:28 PM, there was a previous thread that discussed rude comments such as yours. Here is the link to the thread where the topic was addressed in depth. Perhaps you should have searched a little before posting your rude comment.

Dear 3:15PM Original Poster, I too am curious about olive oil on the face and hope that others will respond. Thank you for posting your question.

my comment was not rude. i explained that the issue asked about was covered in depth in many previous threads. funny that my comment was removed!! i did not use any foul language or call anyone names. just wrote that there were many links in other threads and that the OP should look into the other relevant threads. thanks for the censorship!! this site is ridiculous with that.

9:46-it doesn't matter that the previous thread "covered" this topic in depth in your opinion . . .the op has made it clear that she knows about the thread and is seeking out addition information. it's possible that new members are reading the boards now and may have something to add.

i don't agree with the censorship either-regardless of how rude it may or may not be.-andreaq

agreed. it's also possible that a new member would not think to use the search window to get access to other threads on the topic. perhaps the OP was familiar with only one previous thread and not the many that have been posted. i'll not suggest the search using the search in the future.

I really like the editing that the moderators do - as unfriendly comments make the community a less supportive and pleasant environment. So - thanks moderators! I think people find it easy to be less sensitive in an environment where they can be anonymous like in these threads. I also reackon so what if you want to start up a new thread about an issue that's been previously discussed. There's always new people joining, and often we just look at the most recent threads anyway.

OP - I was also interested in the responses you got to the original question - so thanks for that.
