Help! I'm my only group member!
If you are interested in an organic diet, that eliminates sugars and artificial sweetners, white flour, processed foods, pork and other harmful foods, then this is the group to join. I own a fitness center, and am a Nationally Certified Group Fitness Instructor, and give all glory to God. I also teach a weight loss challenge support class, and worked for Jenny Craig for a period of my life.
I would like group members who are not looking for a diet, but a healthy, permanent weight management solution.

I applaud your mission statement, but I'd like to *gently* point out that making it about God may turn other potential members off. Myself, for example. I follow the same dietary ideas you do, but that's where it ends. I'm not being bitchy, just honest. Good luck :-)

ITA. Not prepared to give "all glory to GOD" right at the moment.

given that the op is looking to connect with members of her group and apparently has a strong relationship w/ god, it's probably best not to join the group and then be blind-sided by any religious references or comments she/he may make. i mean, the 3 previous posters would probably not have wanted to read about how god blessed this or that, so i think the op is right on the money for stating it clearly that god matters to her/him.

I agree with the 1:43 poster. The OP has every right to narrow down the characteristics as much as she wants. I don't think it's necessary for every PT member who doesn't fit those characteristics to chime in "not for me". Who cares if it's not for you? Then don't join the group, just move on.
I mean, if she had posted that she wanted only people who were 5 ft tall, and you aren't 5 ft tall, would you have responded the same?

inm sure the OP is not the ONLY believer on the whole site ..i think its great that he/she knows where they stand and are not afraid to let it be known

there have been previous threads on the topic of religion, and as i remember reading many on this site like the idea of mixing their chosen religious beliefs with all aspects of their lives, including exercise/weight loss. just because 3 posters decided it was not for them and shared their opinions is not an indication that the majority of members are not interested. i think the group will fill up quickly. i think if the op had mentioned god in the title of the post, it would fill up more quickly.

I propose new legislation!
Let's amend the consitution to reflect separation of God and weight-loss.

Hi! I whole heartedly support your faith in God! However, I'm already in a good number of groups for myself... actually, that and I don't want to do the whole organic, no this, no that... but good luck! I hope you find some fantastic group members!

the linked to group hasn't had any postings since september, 2006. this seems like an awfully long time.

What one poster above said may be valid. By putting God in the title, I would never have opened it.

I believe God deserves all the glory. I am joining your group!!!
