Weightloss retreat/bootcamp

Do these programs really exist? Anyone know of any good ones?

They tend to fall under the catagory of "spas". If you go to spafinder.com, you can tick a box to search for spas specializing in weight loss. I believe the much-touted Rancho La Puerta pops up, amongst others. I've been to www.fitnessridge.com. Either Self or Fitness magazine did an article in recent months about a few places as well. None of them are bootcamp-style though, and not all of them portion out your food.

Rancho la Puerta is AMAZING. I've been a few times and each and every time I've gone, I've wanted to move in and stay forever. It's definitely not a boot camp of weight loss, but you are likely to lose a few pounds in a week with the hikes, the exercise, and the healthy, natural low-cal foods (although note that you can eat as much as you want, so if you eat enough of the food, well . . . )

Ever since someone on one of my groups suggested going on a cleansing diet (cut out most foods), I've been thinking of going to Grail Springs in Ontario, Canada. I know nothing about it - just found it on the web and it looks interesting - http://www.grailsprings.com/html/main_welcome.htm.

Fitness Ridgee is bootcamp style

I have stayed at fitness ridge, they portion out all food and have a very structured regimen. I had a great time and was exhausted by days end.
