OT: Great Drink Names

Out last night with some friends, and one ordered an "Irish Car Bomb"- I had never heard of this. But the bartender knew exactly what it was- a big shot of whiskey and Bailey's dropped into a glass of Guinness. I declined to indulge, but got a kick out of the name.

The Greasy Mexican made me think of the worst shot I've ever done!! It was called a Concrete Mixer. I don't remember what all went into it, but I know it had vodka, lime and milk. The lime made the milk solidify and that is why it is called a concrete mixer. I've done 3 of them in my life, and out of three only one stayed down. UGGGGGHHHHH.

Our favorite we made up but now seems popular was called a Russian Qualude. It was a shot of vodka, shot of frangelica, shot cocoa de mint and half and half, tasted just like chocolate milk. Watch out though 3 of those would kick our asses. I think they are an actual drink not but called something slightly different. We made this up back in 1986.

It was stupid drinking competitions that I got into with 40 year old men while I was 21 and 22. The sad part is that I usually won!!! So much for stupid drunken college days. I rarely drink anymore. Maybe once a month, if that!
