Cho-Pat Strap for Running?

My knees have been hurting and a friend recommended a cho-pat strap. Does anyone have good experiences with these, and are there any other ideas you have for running on sore knees?

I use the cho-pat strap (given to me by my sports med doc for runner's knee). It worked really well in the beginning until my quads were strong enough. I still use it sometimes as a safety net, but I think I am strong enough now. The other things that have helped me are ice on the knees and gluclosimine condriton (spelled wrong, google it). You can get it at a grocery store.

I can't emphasise proper form enough!!!! Make absolutely sure your feet are landing pointing straight ahead. Feet should at all times be straight, not at all toes out- even in the slightest. If you walk or run like a duck (toes outward) you put strain on your knee as it's out of alignment.

I'm very knock-kneed, with one damaged knee. If your doctor says a Level II brace is appropriate, Chopat is a great choice
