I clicked on a google ad next to here and saw this celebrity diet and fitness and a picture of Marcia cross, the desperate housewife. The picture if of her pregnant belly with cellulite. Why do this? Why be rude just to be rude?

I fail to see how it's rude. It's simply showing that Marcia is normal like the rest of us... do we take offence because they're showing a pregnant woman, or because we assume celebrities don't deserve to be shown prego?

i think the offensive thing about it is the tag line above it describing that the picture is the cellulite shot of the week or something and following up with "pregnancy isn't pretty" or the like.

I think the photo is of a thigh..not a belly

I don't believe that photo is a pregnant belly. I have seen lots of pregnant bellies and never have I seen cellulite on a belly thats stretched like that. It looks more like a thigh or rear end.

If you actually click on the pic, it takes you to the full shot where it is obvious it is a leg. I think the implication is that she's gaining weight (normal within a pregnancy) and getting cellulite as a result of the weight gain. However, I know some skinny people with cellulite, and fat people without it.

I know a lot of thin women who have cellulite and I know fat women who don't. I myself am 30 pounds overweight and have absolutely no cellulite, my sister is thin and has cellulite on her thighs and tush. It just depends. And as far as celebs go, most pictures we see are air brushed.
