It's LOSE, not LOOSE.

Okay, I got issues with spelling. English is my second language and I was viciously punished whenever I got something wrong.

So here goes after having seen 'loosing' twenty times on this board.

LOSE is 'losing something'. You lose weight, you lose a match, you lose your spelling sense.

LOOSE is an adjective to describe something which is not tightly attached. My button is loose and it may fall off. I loosen the belt because I am getting fatter. Government regulation concerning fast food is too loose.

Therefore, I am 'losing' weight, not 'loosing' weight. I am fighting a 'losing battle', but I am trying to 'loosen up'.

End of rant. :)

it's all been said before... (check out the link)

But let me tell you this: Those of us who know the difference will forever be driven crazy by the ignorance of others because those who don't know the difference really don't see what the big deal is. You can inform people, but you can't make them care enough to change... and that's true about (pretty much) everything.

I can't wait until we have the person posts who is like " Why does it matter, this is a free country blah blah blah"

To this I already say.... why is it we can not strive for more? Seriously. Is it so bad that some of us want to maybe help others? Go into a job interview with lose or loose on the resume and you'll be laughed out of town. Let’s make the world a smarter place and try to use proper words in the proper way.

and "yourself" is one word; "your" is possessive, "you're" means you are; "too" means in addition to or excessive; "it's" mean it is...

There are times when I look back at my posts and realize I spelled something wrong or didn't space between two words. For the most part I know how to spell. This also drives me crazy.
