OT-Tammy Bruce-The Death of Right and Wrong: Exposing the Left's Assault on our Culture & Values

Has anyone read this book? If so what are your thoughts? I realize this could become a heated thread due to the topics she covers-but i'm really interested to see if any other readers found her arguments convincing.

while she's on target about some things, personally, i find that she comes off as paranoid and over simplifies complex issues and does not have enough concrete evidence to blame our culture's problems on the left.

I take issue with the simple rhetoric of her title. The death of right and wrong-- it sounds so definitive. And few issues in life really are. I'm sure it sells books though. My guess is that there is substance to her argument buried beneath the rhetoric. I don't think that the left is "assualting" culture and values. I do think they have a different approach, which has made an impact. And I think there are postives and negatives to that approach. I think that the left has done a great job "mandating inclusion"- it is now unacceptable to discriminate based on gender, race, sexual orientation. That is a good thing in my eyes.

On the other hand, the left and post-structuralism in particular has unleashed the monster of moral equivalence into our society. To give you an example, many on the left try to justify islamic terrorism, based primariily on their own critique of the US, Capitalism, etc. They think terrorism is bad- but that Bush is just as bad. That is an insane arguement. You can think that Bush is all sorts of things (I certainly do)- but when people trot out this hyper rhetoric on the left, they sound kind of crazy.

My guess is that is what she is trying to get at- this whole idea of hyper persmissive, don't spank the children, enabling, cede the narrative to the victim or cede the narrative to the identity group who "owns it" culture.
