Fat Smash Diet Preparation

I'm all set to smart fat smashing with the Fat Smash Diet tomorrow (Monday).

So here's the list of authorized foods for the first nine days. Basically, if it's not on here, you can't have it. This nine-day period is called Detox (although I don't necessarily believe in detox, but that's another subject. That's just what this is called).

Authorized foods:
• Fruit in any quantity
• Veggies in any quantity except:
No white potatoes
No avocados
• Protein sources:
Chickpeas
Beans
Tofu
Lentils
• Brown rice – two cups of cooked rice per day
• Skim milk – two cups per day
• Water
• Oatmeal – one cup per day
• Herbs and spices
• Low fat yogurt – 6 oz., two times per day
• Egg whites – Four cups per day
• Herbal tea – two cups per day
• Low fat dressing – No more than three tablespoons per salad
• Low fat virgin olive oil – one or two teaspoons if grilling veggies

I'm all set for Monday. I've got sliced cucumbers, grape tomatoes, baby carrots, a banana, low-fat yogurt, a pear and a couple of tofu "hot dogs" to get me through the workday, which isn't counting what I'll eat before I head out and after I get home.

I'm weigh in the morning and take a before picture as well.

I'm really excited about this. I did Body for Life a few years ago with great results. However, I've tried to get back into the swing of BFL on several attempts in the last year and haven't stuck with it.

What I like about the Fat Smash Diet probably has little to do with the diet itself and more to do with the fact that I'm doing something different. I've tried to stick with the BFL plan of eating more, smaller meals throughout the day. At least this is giving me something completely fresh and challenging.

I'll keep posting on here for my progress. My page is at: http://peertrainer.com/pages/userblog.aspx?uname=egruber

Progress

OK, I've been on the Fat Smash Diet for five hours now and I've lost 10 pounds!

Just kidding, but what I wanted to say is that I really don't feel any hungrier than usual. All that might change the deeper I get into this, but we'll see.

Anyone else on this diet plan?

What do you add after the "detox"? With the exception of coffee not being on there, that looks pretty much like what I eat anyway.

aside from the egg whites, this is basically a vegetarian meal plan. this is how i eat, too. did not know it was also a fad-diet.

It only starts out that way, then adds meats and other foods back in at different stages through the diet.

Here's the skinny LOL on the FAT SMASH Diet, Check my log out to see what I'm eating & how fast I am loosing during Phase I detox! It's unbelievable. I was severly addicted to sugar right b4 I started FS Diet, eating 1-2 candy bars at night & 4 servings of lf icecream, cookies.... really bad. After 1 day on FS my cravings were gone & the wt started coming off. (5.75 in 5 days! I only want to lose my last 15 lbs so that I can maintain for life. But I can never seem to get there. Now I know I can!

This is really not a diet but a normal healthy way to eat by the end of phase 4.
There are 4 phases. Phase 1 is detox to clean out your body of all the junk we have been abusing ourselves with. You eat all the fruits & veggis you want except white potatos & Avacados. You also can have up to and any of the following: unlimited legumes/beans & tofu, 1 cup of oatmeal, 2 cups of brown rice, 2 cups lf or 1% milk, 2 6oz yogurts and 4 eggwhites (eggbeaters) only water & 2 cups of herbal tea to drink. you get a very limited amount of olive oil & lf & ff dressing to use. You do this for 9 days. You are not suppose to weigh until AM of day 10 but I weigh in almost everyday, the progress motivates me! My husband hasn't weighed yet.

Phase 2 for 3wks you keep everything you are eating in phase I & add in most protein meat chicken turkey fish (except pork), 1 whole egg add unsweetend ceral, 1 oz of cheese, coffee 1 10 oz cup & 2 diet pops a day come back.

Phase 3 4 weeks: increase the amounts of protein, adds ff mayo & peanut butter, 2 whole eggs, 3 cups of lf milk now & 1.3 oz of lf/ff cheese, 2 cups of freshly squeezed juice & whole grains bread 4 slices a day, 1 cup of pasta and 1 desert serving per day.

Phase 4 for life every food you want come back including alchol & all sweets/chips everything. the idea is your able to now handle a snack or high fat meal & go back to your regular good habits you have learned to retrain your body with.

He also demands 5 days of cardio work out a week & the time spent exercising increase 20% every phase. This is key to burning calories while reducing your calorie intake w/food make you loose the wt twice as fast.

It is so easy & I have gotten creative w/recipies during the 1st 9 days & we grilled veggies & ate lots of bean soups.

No gimicks, not a lot of rules the book is even cheap on line to buy. I think the website is www.fatsmashdiet.com ,

I had 15 lbs to lose & I lost 7 lbs in 9 days on this diet. My husband lost 9. We probably could have lost more if we had exercised all 5 days like we should have.

The best thing is my carb & sugar addiction seems to be gone. My undeniable desire for sweets is gone. I mean it disappeard almost overnight. Some nights I don't even have an evening snack. It's been unbelievable for me!
