Bowel Movements and Belt Holes (a little graphic)
Apologies if these details are too much for anyone.
This morning my daily bowel movement was quite large (yes, I look ;) ), which was understandable cause I had a significant dinner last night...eating a little differently than usual. ANYWAY, the difference between before the BM and after was one belt hole. I'm pleased, but could your waste really take up that much room? Wow.
Thu. Aug 24, 9:53am
Yes it can if your really backed up.
Thursday, August 24, 2006, 10:58 AM
I have dropped two pounds after a large BM before.
Friday, August 25, 2006, 8:52 AM
LOL
I love how obsessed we PTers are about the scale! (Me, too! Best weighin time is right after...)
Friday, August 25, 2006, 10:59 AM
For some reason on the weekends, nothing moves if you know what I mean.
Come monday, I can drop 2-4 pounds in one day.
Personally, I'd prefer to figure out how to keep things moving on the wekends...
Friday, August 25, 2006, 11:19 AM
Well, you could eat the same on weekends as you do on weekdays and see what happens.
FYI, I weighed myself directly before and after the 2 pound loss.

To the 2:15 poster who compains about these types of threads, if you hate them so much, then what possess you to read a thread titled "Bowel Movements and Belt Holes (a little graphic)?" Was the title not explicitely clear enough for you? If you don't like it, don't read it, jeez. Take some personal responsibility for what YOU CHOSE to read.

lol
it's like people who watch porn, buy porn, etc. and then protest porn's content. lol
I have def. the same result after BM's- I look forward to them in on a weekend morning so I can weigh afterwards, and not before!
BTW, most colonic cleansing websites will tell you we can all have like 20 lbs. of waste, just sittin' in there. And white carbs and sugar are the paste that keep it there. Fabulous.

Bowl Movements
I read your comment about bowl movements and I thaught I would reply! I am a flight attendant for US Air and I am on the road a lot! I like to checkk my bowl movements at least twice a day! I am always concerned about healthy colon care so my partner will not be turned off! I like to enema at least twice a week for that fresh feeling he likes! Anyone else have suggestions for that clean feeling for that special someone!

pooh...
If you want a BM before your weigh in, eat a serving or 2 of apricots the day before. just a trick I learned recently! ;-)
Friday, July 27, 2007, 3:57 PM
i always try to poo before i weigh... just this week i weighed before, because i didn't think i needed to go, 10 min later...... i weighed afterwards just to see... it was 1.5 lb difference.
good trick 3:57!

LMAO
Thank you 3:39 and 3:42, I almost had a BM laughing so hard at your posts, you made my day!
Friday, July 27, 2007, 5:25 PM
No kidding, ditto the last last comment. Hook ups for anal sex on PT! How classy.... OMG!
Friday, July 27, 2007, 5:58 PM
Wow, you guys must be eating a lot. How can you drop that much in one sitting?
Friday, July 27, 2007, 9:19 PM
Instead of an enema you may also like to try another form of colon cleansing, which I've tried three times so far, with fantastic results. It's called "shankaprakshalana". Google it and you can get detailed instructions. The full one -- which I do NOT recommend for you to do on your own -- involves drinking up to 16 glasses of warm, saline water and doing five very simple exercises. It builds enormous pressure in the colon and everything comes out. You're clean as a whistle. A shorter one, often called in yoga sites as "laghoo" shankaprakshalana, involves drinking just two glasses of warm water every day and doing the same exercises. Over a period of two months, you get the same benefit. Each of the exercises opens one of the five valves in the alimentary canal and forces the stuff out.

Hey 5AM...can you give the recipe for the salted water thing? I can't find it and I'd like to try the longer one.
Sunday, July 29, 2007, 9:13 PM
Oh, and also the excersizes? I can't find any of it! =[
Sunday, July 29, 2007, 9:25 PM
As long as we are being disgusting, I've not weighed before and after a BM. But I know that my waist size is aprox 2" larger in the evenings than the mornings. My body has a strange quirk in that I can't burp! So by evining I'm all expanded with gas! Pity my husband! But by morning I'm back to where I was.
Sunday, July 29, 2007, 10:29 PM
Almost everyday I have 2 lb diff between pre-BM and post BM.
Monday, July 30, 2007, 9:16 AM
A most interesting thread!
I clearly am in the minority here: I have frequently weighed myself before and after a BM and never noticed a difference. It used to depress me, so I just don't do it anymore. I'm curious as to why I never noticed the slightest difference in the scale when most of the people contributing to this thread have noticed a significant difference.

Don't knock it until you try it!
We FAs need love just like everyone else! I'm on all sorts of sites and have great luck finding willing guys! And lucky me, the guy I posted to contacted me and we had a great time at my lakehouse! We got a few other guys to join us as well! An we were all clean as a whistle!
So lesson to you straighties is to let it go! Have FUN! I drive folks nuts over on the Yahoo DAL site with all of my IDs and pretending to be a pilot. But I get bootie all the time! Relax guys, you'll get more out of life.

I learned in my pathophys class that the colon can hold up to 50lbs in a severely constipated individual! I stands to reason that the average person has 10-20 lbs of waste in them at any point.
I also have issues w/ going on the weekend, and it is not diet dependent. It's a mental thing (my mind is used to my weekday routine, it gets thrown off on the weekend).
