Effects of Sodium on Weight loss?
It seems like ever since I started eating better, or eating for weight loss, my sodium intake has jumped. I love v8- lots of veggies, lots of sodium. Miso Soup- great for you, tons of sodium. I could go on and on.
Is this bad for me from a weight loss perspective? Will I lose faster if I also cut down on salt?

Sodium can cause you to retain water, which could slow down the number of pounds the scale says you lost (although your body composition would still be changing). Try looking for reduced-sodium versions of those foods, and when you cook, try to use other seasonings for flavor - there are a lot of good salt-free seasoning blends that add flavor without increasing your sodium intake.

Low sodium V8 takes a little getting used to, but I'm addicted to the stuff.

me too, I crave salt. My blood pressure is good, though, and salt has no calories, so I don't worry too much about it...
I do like low-sodium tomato juice, but it is hard to find in the large (cheap) cans.
You could also try low-sodium salt (has other salts in it) -- maybe there's an electrolyte imbalance your body is trying to make up. Come to think of it, I think I'll try that.
