Recovering from a tough workout?
I had the hardest workout I have ever had over the weekend. Any tips on recovering? I need all the help I can get.

It's counterintuitive, but ice the sore muscles.

Not sooner than 20 minutes and not more than 40 minutes after your workout, have some easily digestible carbs and protein. Helps with muscle recovery.
Have an active day of rest - go for a walk, do some easy yoga - just get your muscles moving to feel better.
Get lots of sleep, drink lots of water, and take advil every 4 hours.

ice the sore muscles at first for 20 minutes on & 20 off, and if they still hurt after a few days, start applying heat. this usually helps me get better quicker... i usually don't even get to the heat part. i'll link the article where i got my info.
also an ice bath is unpleasant, but really helps your muscles. rest up and you'll be feeling better in no time! good luck!
