Serious Team looking to Seriously lose
Okay... June 1st is coming... and we still have a chance to be nice and slim for August. Does anyone, who POSTS and really is commited to comments and getting down to business want to start a small team or group. June 1st to August 1st really just givein'r! I find some of the teams that have a time constraint people get disapointed. This team or group would be for peolpe who are ready, willing and will just DO IT to lose weight and support and be supported.
Let me know on here if there is serious interest.
Wed. May 24, 9:28am
I'm in.

Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 6:56 PM
Count me in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What is the name of the group? I will join today! Cool! My groups are kind of lame because they aren't really taking this whole thing seriously I don't think.
Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 9:07 PM
I'm interested. What are you calling the team? Summer Challenge? Let us know!
Wednesday, May 24, 2006, 10:11 PM
Maybe iy could be called Serious Summer Challenge
Something with the word serious so people can't flake out, and they know that they are gonna do it this time!!
Let me know what you think!
Thursday, May 25, 2006, 6:53 AM
Has the team been made yet? I wanna join!
Thursday, May 25, 2006, 8:34 AM
I'm not the OP but started the team. Look under "Serious Summer Challenge" or zip code 08033 in the team section. I made it a team because it seemed like quite a few were interested, and I didn't want anyone to be left out.
Thursday, May 25, 2006, 8:38 AM
Just a friendly reminder that the SERIOUS Summer Challenge is starting Tonight AT Midnight!! Please join before if you have any intention too because the group is going to become a private group so we can bond as a team and start and finish together!!
This team is arguably the most spirited on PT and the most dedicated to losing fat and inches and becoming the people we were meant to be!!!
Join today!!! Last day!! Serious Summer Challenge!!!!!
Joooinnnnn ( only if serious ) lol :)

Count me in! Aug 1st is my b-day and I want to look and feel great!!
Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 1:42 AM
Nevermind I guess, I just joined today and still trying to figure it all out!
Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 1:43 AM
well thats crap that you made it private. Teams have unlimited numbers.
Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 2:51 PM
I think they wanted a small inntimate number on their team so they could keep up with each others logs .. that makes sense. if you want start your own team 2:51. or maybe get a personal invitation from someone in this team if they read this .
Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 4:43 PM
hey, you said you would keep it open until midnight tonight, that's not very fair!
Wednesday, April 18, 2007, 10:22 PM
Um, all those posts are from 2006. That was midnight more than a year ago. Why not just start your own new group now?
Thursday, April 19, 2007, 1:07 AM
laughs I didnt even look at the date. I agree with the above poster . start your own active group.
Thursday, April 19, 2007, 4:11 AM

Friday, May 11, 2007, 10:00 PM
Exactly what I'm looking for. Let's do it!
Saturday, May 12, 2007, 4:16 AM
Serious interest here
I've been looking for a group or team that is serious about their goals. I'm very much a planner and need to get down to business right now. Only thing is I'm new to Peertrainer and would like to know - are their any guidelines with this team that I need to know about?
Saturday, May 12, 2007, 7:35 AM
So since this other team is a year in... what are we gonna call this one... I want to join too!
Saturday, May 12, 2007, 8:07 AM
count me in...
Saturday, May 12, 2007, 10:10 AM
Is there a new team set up for this one? Still looking for more joiners? Lemme know! How do I go about joining?
Sunday, May 13, 2007, 10:09 PM
That's it.... I'll start it.
may 12, 8:07 here again.
I'm starting the new team. I called it Serious Goals, Serious Losers. zip is 97225
I put this in the description:
This team is for people who are serious about achieving their weight loss and fitness goals, excuses left at the side of the road. Serious goals, support for team members and determination a must. Weekly and monthly challenges.
Hope no one has anything against it.
First monthly challenge: Find a physical activity you generally consider "not my thing" try it for a month. At least 3 times a week. This could be jogging (Check out Couch to 5k) or a pilates or yoga class or video. Or even just going to the gym. This challenge will start June 1.
Next issue. Do we want this group to be closed to private after a time to allow for a limited team of commited members or are we going to leave it open. I suggest closing it to private June 14. This gives the group over a month. And allows the first challenge to get rolling to inspire people.
Tell me what you think! --- travelash

I would like to join this group, but I really don't understand Peertrainer. Do I just join and post, or do I have to keep a journal, etc. I will do the journal, etc., if I just understand it. Thanks.

clarifications
Addressing a few questions:
1) Challenges will be kept general and flexible. I'll keep them like the first one where you can individually tailor it to you. I'm a university student living abroad and I know what it's like to have no money. There will be possibilities to do this however you want. I've chosen pilates. Making the small investment of ordering a video but I know you can find videos on youtube, I found coretraining videos there that I use. And there is always jogging!
2) For those of you that are new. Join! Ask questions, read logs. There is no right or wrong way to do it. The more you log the more you ask questions the more feedback you will get and the more you will reflect on your choices. Even if you just write a note about how you are feeling about your diet or exercise you are logging. The biggest challenge for most people is getting past their own excuses. I'm still overcoming this, I'm guessing we all battle with our own mental limitations and excuses. The more you share and the more open you are to criticism the fewer excuses you will find. Look for small groups or browse through member profiles and invite people to join. Or if you have friends invite them to join PT and start your own. PT is really just a great toolbox to share your experiences and to reflect back on your journey. Lastly, Welcome!
The main thing is this team is for people who are ready to attack their goals, , and are ready to stop making excuses! Seriously! (.... Sorry, I'm a Grey's Anatomy fan.... and something about the name of the team....) So if you are interested, serious about reaching your goals then please join! --- Ash

I am so definetely in. I'm tired of being in a group who never posts, and a majority of the members don't even keep logs. What's the point?

I WANT TO LOSE!!!
I know your posting was a while ago, in writing this I hope to encourage more posting comments. I am a brand new member, fresh meat so to speak, and determined but need some support. I am trying to start of a reasonable goal of 35 pounds, however, it is difficult living with someone who isn't supporting you in your goals to quit smoking and lose weight when he is 260 pounds (overweight) and smokes like a chimney!!! REALLY would love some help!

Carbawhey and Arctic Zero
It's only 22 calories for a 4 ounce serving of Carbawhey soft serve.
Arctic Zero is 128 calories for the WHOLE pint, it's all natural, has 16 grams of whey protein, safe for lactose intolerants, and it's gluten free!
