this is really cool
i was in the spotlight a while ago and I go and visit sometimes (Sorry guys, I don't comment but I love reading what you do) and saw this. CK212, you got me and I'm glad you did. i want to be in a group with you! thought other people would like this....
....since no one else is stepping up to the plate. I understand many people are very busy, but when you decide to do spotlight, you owe it to the community to log in regularly-the good, the bad and the ugly. This goes to all spotlighters who have been slacking on the log in. Not only do you owe it to the community, but you owe it to yourself to take a bit of time each day to reflect on how you did . If you can't commit 5 minutes a day to log your food and think about what you ate that day and why, then you can't expect to make progress toward your goals. And please remember there are other members taking time to click on your name and read your logs. They deserve more than a blank log

I agree. I know it's frustrating to log into my groups and see that myself and just one other person are logging daily. I need the accountability to lose this weight -- when others are not logging, it doesn't keep me accountable.

shame as motivator
i actually feel bad for those who aren't posting - there's gotta be a reason and i'm sure it's not to bother you! i would rather people post when they can - not because they were shamed into it.

I wouldn't think it's to bother people. I do think that the original poster has a point though: if you can't commit to 5 minutes a day, how can you expect to make progress towards your goals?

the original post was about the spotlight
If you can't commit to 5 minutes a day, don't be in the spotlight. Why would you want a spotlight on you anyway if you aren't going to post? What is the point?
As for regular groups, if group members aren't posting, just leave it and join or start another group. I know it can be frustrating, but sometimes 5 minutes a day is just not possible. Why would you let it bother you, when it is so easy to just keep trying different groups until you find a good one.

Amen, sister/brother. :)
That's percisely the reason that I'm not participating in the Spotlight this go-round. I didn't have the time at the end of the last one, and I felt like I cheated myself and the others who took the time to visit.
