Fruit vs Veggies

I eat a ton of salad and veggies, and not as much fruit. I'm curious if I am doing the right thing-- if I am missing out not eating enough fruit. My mission right now is general fitness, running and working out. tia.

Fruits generally have more calories and sugar (even though they're natural ones they are still raise your blood sugar) and are not as filling to me, so I generally try for 2 servings of low(er)-glycemic fruit like apples or berries and 4-6 of veggies. Somedays if I just visited a market and the fruit was really good I'll eat fruit all day and not feel a bit bad about it, but in general that's what I strive for.
