Is movie style popcorn still fattening?

or have they made it better since the data came out about it. I can't give it up. Movies are not movies without the stuff.

How often do you go to the movies? I go to about 3 movies a year, definitely worth it then. I can't do without the real stuff!!! IF you go every week, that's a different story.

To the last poster-- that is a great attitude.

All things in moderation, I say!

Wow, think about it, it's another association with a fattening food that many people have, like cake at birthday's, drinking at parties to have fun. Can you really not enjoy the movie without the popcorn? Can you think of an alternative snack you can take with you? Like the other poster says, if it's 3X a year, not a big deal, but if it's every week, maybe it's time to rethink this association. Personally, I was always too poor to buy popcorn at the cheap show, now I don't even go. I just tape movies from the cable TV, which is our entertainment budget.

Oh yes,it's still just as bad for you in every way. I guess they could make it worse by dumping 1/2 cup sugar on it.

at least now they let you add your own butter instead of dumping it on for everyone. of course i love it with the butter. i make it to the movies about 5 times a year. when that happens, my husband and i go all out and eat the popcorn for dinner. it always makes me sick to my stomach, but somehow i don't care. but the movies without popcorn is like birthdays without cake, super bowl without chips, etc. it doesn't happen often, but you've got to indulge every once in awhile. besides, buttery movie popcorn is one of my absolute favorite foods, and limiting myself to a few times per year is difficult. what limits the amount of popcorn for me is that there are no movies worth seeing.

By the way, I don't know about anyone else, but even if I've eaten dinner before the movie, there always seems to be room in my tummy for movie popcorn and the big (32 or 64 oz).cup of pop.

We usually try to limit our intake of the movie popcorn, but at the prices they charge at the theatre, you feel like you don't get your money's worth unless you get the big tub! Of course, you might as well not eat for the whole day at that point, because the calories taken in are probably out of this world!

If you plan for movie theater popcorn in your daily calorie intake you can have it...........it is all about accountability.

Good idea to bring your own snacks, but some movie theaters are searching bags now for them and will confiscate them for the duration of the movies. Can you believe it!

I can totally agree with you. Popcorn is my love. I can't imagine a movie watching without it.

You are right. When I am watching a movie, I want to achieve 100% comfort and these are not just words. I am even going to buy new equipment. I have read epson home cinema 2150 review and I like it very much. I suppose it will suit my house and will work long.
