Dancing/Workout Videos

I'm looking for a workout video that uses dancing. I don't have any dancing experience, but I love dancing and am looking for something fun to do when it's raining/etc that will give me a great cardio workout. I also don't want to spend an arm and a leg (even if it will make me weigh less!). Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks!

I've heard people talk about Dance Dance Revolution. Not sure what it is, but it sounds great and I think a great workout. Hope you get a lot of good suggestions!!!!

4:26 PM poster- Dance Dance Revolution is an XBOX game (one of the other gaming systems has it too - Playstation??) where you follow the dance steps on the screen and hit the arrows on the dance pad you are standing on in time with the music. It is LOADS of fun and you really work up a sweat. My husband and I love it.

6:02 poster - no, not really. I suppose you could always throw 'em around a little bit... ;-) DDR is mainly a leg workout, but you're huffing and puffing by the end.

i love doing bellydance videos (either dolphina's Goddess workout or neena & vina's dvds)! it works your arms, and really your whole body more than you'd think. plus, it makes women of all sizes feel sexy.

For a total blast from the past, try Paula Abdul's Get Up and Dance. You may need to rewind a lot to learn it, but once you do, you'll be rockin the 90s-style jams pretty hard. It's about 50 minutes altogether, with warm-up, 25 minutes of solid dancing and a fun routine to YMCA, cool-down, a bit of abs and stretching.

It seems to me that my training was already even with classical music. It all depends on what you are used to listening to. I would not recommend using your favorite music if you listen to rock or metal. But the best thing is to put a portable speaker and include your favorite dance clips.

I heard that music is able to give much energy. So, you can just feel the beat and follow it. Of course, you need good speakers for it. You should read trustedcomparison website about jbl flip 3 vs flip 4 comparison. It will help you to choose the best device.
