Excercise!
This may be an obvious point, but I had lost about a pound since the beginning of March. I am a guy and weighed 196-197 pounds. I have lost 4 pounds in the last 9 days and am now at 192, a weight I have not been at in years and years. I started PT at 210, lost the first 10 or so very quickly and then lost the next 3-4 over a 5 month period.
The one change I have made is getting a ton more exercise. I don't go to the gym, but I have started to give my son a long shoulder ride each day. And I have gotten out to hack around the local public golf course, and walked between 12 and 15 holes each time-- both in the last 9 days. The exercise is absolutley helping and I am have not changed my eating that much.

CONGRATS!!
I have found that walking really makes the difference for me. I try to get as much walking time in each day as I can, and the weight has really been coming off. I've been averaging 2lbs a wk for the past few months.
keep up the good work

You've found a great way to get exercise and spend some quality time with your son. Goes to show that exercise doesn't have to be at a gym.

I totally agree, when I hit a plateau or want to get really serious; if I exercise more often or more strenuous, then I lose weight much easier. Don’t do what I do however, and tell yourself, “oh I worked out an extra hour today, so I can have an extra snack.” Then of course, the extra work out is still great a work out is always great, but it doesn’t help with the weight loss.

Good for you!!!
My problem is not doing enough aerobic or cardio exercise... I'm adding a goal of trying to up that amount to at least 2 hours a week--that only works out to be about 20 minutes a day for 6 days. :-)
