whey protein is really good for you and i usually try and drink that 3 days out of the week after a workout, i don't recommend it if you want a good tasting shake bc i have to plug my nose to get it all the way down, but i have seen a difference in my energy and workouts. also i like this protein shake called muscle milk- sounds cheesy but it is at gnc and it tastes just like a milk shake- if mixed with milk and it has i think 32 grams of protein a serving. It comes in powder and premixed. The big powder jug costs about 23 dollars and it has lasted me awile.hope this helps at all

Labrada's low carb

For a long time I used Labrada's low carb (also called carb watchers) protein powder. -- especially the chocolate lovers flavors. Not as low in carbs as the myoplex ones, but may be more tasty.

Neither! Eat real food whenever possible. If you do eat a bar be sure to drink lots of water with it, this is key.

If you want good taste, I totally love the Herbalife shakes. They already contain protein, but you can add a protein powder too.

I haven't used the shakes in a while, but plan to start again when I start my weight training
I like the myoplex shakes... they're really thick, and if you blend them with a few ice cubes, it's like a milkshake! I mixed them with water, so didn't have to worry too much about extra calories, and they still tasted great. strawberry and vanilla I like best.
I also like the Designer Whey with Glycerlean. vanilla is good... mix with oj. not as thick as myoplex, but still good.
for bars I have been eating pria bars, by power bar. only 170 cals per bar and they taste pretty good. not great, but good. they're kind of like a candy bar treat for me as they have some chocolate coating. I have about one a day. lower carbs, decent protein.

I absolutely LOVE the Arbonne protein shakes. They taste wonderful and have outstanding nutrition including pea protein. My daily breakfast is 1 scoop of Arbonne Chai protein shake, 2 scoops Arbonne fiber shake, 1 c frozen blueberries, 2 T milled flax seed, 2.5 c water. This fills me up for a good 4 hours and is great for heart and brain health.

Biggest Selling Protein Supplement

What was the MLM Company that started the protein shake craze in the 80's. The FDA rode them and others to the ground... This was after Seyforth Labs...

Little Q&A for historical perspective to remind us the FDA.... As Ronald Regan said the most horrible words in the world are: We are from the Government and we are here to help you!

Here is a new guide to protein. It discusses shakes, bars and everything else you need to know about what constitutes an "ideal protein":

What Is An Ideal Protein?

Very basic answer is that you want to look for something that does not have artificial ingredients in it, is extremely low in sugar, and is ideally plant-based.

I use Shakeology for my NUTRITION shake (~18g protein). It works for everyone. I lost 4lbs in the first 2 weeks of using it. I also gained a crap ton of ENERGY and I no longer have to take multivitamins or probiotics (body couldn't digest some foods very well). It has really changed my life and how I look at nutrition. I also have ZERO cravings! Crazy, but TRUE!

There are so many protein bars and shakes out there that it is really hard to find one that REALLY compliments your diet and fitness program. So, I use
the P90X Protein bars. I use are products directly correlated to the fitness programs I use. TASTE AMAZING!

I don't eat something unless it tastes good. I am not a kale, raw almonds, swiss chard kind of girl. :)

The streets are calmer, though not deserted, and the breeze is cool. The cycling is thus easier. The multilingual guide keeps giving you descriptions of the various places of interest that fall your way, talking and taking you through the barcelona pub crawl heritage.
