A tip to help with daily posting

Are you aware that you can receive email notification every time a member of your group posts a new comment? I wasn't, until I explored the site a little more.

For those of you who haven't activated this, I advise doing it - then you're constantly being reminded of your efforts.

This is what to do:

Once logged in, go to 'my info'.

Choose the tab 'preferences'.

See where it says 'Email me daily with group logs and comments'? Check box.

I wonder why the site isn't rigged up to do that automatically, actually. not that it isn't an awesome site, and just what we all needed.

hope this is useful to somone. i was glad to find it.

Yes, this is good to know. I didn't know about it. I'm so addicted to peertrainer though already. And I'm usually the one that posts to the comment area most often. I think getting emails would cause me to log in even more than I already do (~6 times a day!), which would be sort of bad. :)

lucky you

I'd be more of an addict if i wasn't juggling 50 things at once during the day - it just really helps me to stay connected. maybe it's reducing the number of trips i make to the vending machine - that's another reason to encourage the people in your group to post daily

Unless I'm mistaken

it doesn't actually email you every time someone logs or comments. It just emails you a daily report of the group logs and comments.

If it emails every time, I'm driving my groupmates buggy. I only get one email a day for each group, showing their log updates and comments for the day.

you're right

I rather over-zealously posted this before I'd actually seen what happened. I'd prefer if it notified me every time - maybe peertrainer should make that an option for addicted members? I'd totally sign up for it.
