EMAIL THREAD
Revival of old threads
Is PT the one reviving all these old threads with links to various PT articles? I think there were dozen Weight Watchers threads revived and linked to articles a few days ago.

We are adding relevant links to our commonly viewed pages. We are doing this across the board. The agenda is to provide links to other discussions and articles on the site.
We are not pushing weight watchers. We are pushing PEERtrainer!!

To the OP- one million people come to PEERtrainer each month, a lot of that traffic is via search engines to our threads. People find the threads very interesting and spend a ton of time on them. If we give them some further options at the end of the thread then this gives us an opportunity to guide them to other parts of the site. Other relevant threads, articles.

Can't say I love it. I think, "Great. A new thread/new response to an old thread" only to see it's not only a thread from 2007, but then it's a link to an article. One or two, okay, but a dozen old Weight Watchers threads? It seems every 'new' thread I see lately is just an old revived thread with a link to an article. Anyway, perhaps it's just me - don't love it.
