How to keep to a diet while on your period
When I am on my period, not only do I want to eat everything because i think it will soothe my cramps (which i know it won't ), but I am also in to much pain to do my excercise. I don't want to emerge out of the monthly monster weighing more. Please help!

I just take motrin and get on with my life. Life is way too short to take a time out once a month.

If you play your cards right, you can actually lose a substantial amount of weight while on your period due to the slight increase in metabolic rate.
Caffeine (like in Midol Complete) always helps me feel better earlier in the day, and then I skip it in the afternoon and go to bed as soon as I feel tired, even if that means going to bed at 8pm. Also, I tend to only do long walks during my period as workouts. It doesn't overtax me nor make me feel like I can justify eating more due to the workouts.
And the above poster is right; life is too short to take time out once a month. Just tailor your day to what is tolerable to you, without overdoing it or being inactive.

It's so hard!
I just go with it. I know I'm going to eat more and I know I'm going to feel bad about it and I've grown to accept it. Its only bad for the first couple of days and then I get a hold of myself. So I have * couple of bad days of eating on my period and then I move on. I try not to give in to my chocolate cravings though!

A previous poster noted going to bed early. Me too! I am very low-energy for a couple of days at the beginning of my period, and it's easy to confuse fatigue with hunger. Once I recognize fatigue, I just go to bed early!
