Insomnia makes it all so hard...especially when alone and you love companionship

Sitting here alone and feeling so weighted down in my heart.

It does! I have had it for ten years now. I only sleep 5 hour a night no matter how much I wear myself out. Loneliness sucks too. I couldn't get off the sofa when I was going through my divorce and unemployed. My best advice is to do one thing each day to take care of you expressly. Just you. Its working for me as my current relationship falls to pieces around me. TAKE CARE. And therapy, the counsel of a clergyperson or someone you really respect will help as well.
Sending big hugs and lots of positive energy to you....

Some people will think "that is not for me," and maybe they are right, but I decided that companionship was important to me even though I'm emotionally unavailable right now (still stuck on the ex, ugh!). I got online and advertised for new friends and/or short-term relationship... I found a summer romance with a guy mid-divorce who is also emotionally in a mess but needing a hug and a kiss and a little reassurance that he's not unattractive or personally hideous. We're not compatible for anything long-term, but that's okay. Sometimes we all need to just give and receive a little comfort.

Ugh. Tell me about it. If I could just get up at 5:30AM every day without fail my life would be significantly closer to perfect.
