Cadbury Cream Eggs.... grrrrrrrrrr

Boo to my friend for bringing me Cadbury Cream Eggs for Easter. I'm so stressed right now, a paper due in a few days plus an exam to study for, and no time to do either... I just polished off three of the eggs... then I said screw it so I had some carrots, and some cottage cheese... the cream eggs are a decent size, about 170 cals each... GRRRRRRRRRR why does being stressed always make me crave chocolate??????

And now I feel uber-guilty about giving in :( *sigh...* I knew I should've just thrown them away!!! Just because she gave them to me doesn't mean I have to eat them!!!!

Any words of advice?? If not, that's okay... just had to vent, and currently trying to tell myself it's not the end of the world...

Okay back to writing my paper now, I suppose... goodnight all :)

I've been there!

Don't beat yourself up about it! I know I've been there. It is very hard to stop, when chocolate is involved. :) It is easy to feel guilty, but move on. You aren't going to gain a bunch of weight from that crazy moment. :) Continue with your healthy habits. Don't let this set you back mentally. Hang in there!

I guess I must be one of the lucky few for whom those Cadbury eggs have no appeal... Way to rich for me! (make my teet hurt just thinking about it!

That being said, the above poster has some good advice. Don't let 1 slip up become the reason you "fall off the wagon!" Try to get in some extra work-out time and eat leaner today. Your body will appreciate it!

Ok, I LOVE cadbury cream eggs. I have survived easter thus far on the mini ones. One seems to kill the craving and it's only about 50-60 calories, not 170. Give those a try! Also, keep in mind that it WILL be here next year. Just because it's seasonal doesn't mean you have to eat it.

I love them too, and eat them every Easter! After my first one this year, I looked up the calories and saw 170. So I wanted to figure out how I could have them and not mess up my diet. So I told myself I could have one a week - and they're in the stores for about 2 months. So that's about 10 eggs! That's definitely a lot of them for a season!

So if I'm in a store and want to buy one (and I ONLY buy one at a time), I think if I want to use my egg for the week. Usually, it's just not that important.

So far, I've had three. Three Cadbury eggs in a year is not going to hurt anyone. Even 10 won't hurt, but I just ended up not having many of them, and I don't let myself "make up" for skipping last week by having two this week. Anyway, do what works for you, budget them out for yourself, and tell your well-meaning friend that you appreciate the eggs, but next time, if she's thinking of you, to only bring one.
