Have you tried making a rule where you don't eat after 7pm?

Make these items side items in your meal vs. the entree, but eat them after you fill up on other tings like greens, vegetables, etc. Also, don't make a lot at once so you're not tempted to go back for more and more.

well - I have to say that when I went on the SB diet my carb cravings pretty much disappeared after the first week (although that was not an easy week). One of the most enlightening things about that experience was how I learned to differentiate actual hunger from my fluctuating blood sugar.
After I added in some grains my carb cravings came back and that made it hard to stick with the maintenance phase, so I cut out grains and sugar altogether. I eat veggies, protein, some fruit, some dairy, seeds, nuts and fat and I feel about a million times better.
That was my experience. Best wishes in finding what works for you!
