Come talk about your BeachBody Program

I'm looking for people who would like to discuss the BeachBody Program they are working. I am using the "Insanity" program. I'd love to talk w/other who are using: Insanity, P90X, HipHop Abs, or any of the other BeachBody programs. Please chime-in with your comments, successes, or failures w/the programs.

Insanity

So, I've been working the "Insanity" program since late March. Life and a week's vacation have prevented me from being able to follow the program to a "t". This is frustrating. I'm also frustrated because after starting the program I started losing inches though I started gaining weight. Admittedly, I am not following the recommended diet plan which came with the program. I have a healthy eating plan to start, so did not feel that was necessary. Also, I feel diet plans are very individualized and you really need to eat in such a way which you know you can follow.

Anyway, I'm loving the Insanity program. It's tough. It's challenging. I'm still not able to keep up w/Shaun T on all the programs, but love it just the same. I'm nearly 3 months into the program and still have not made it through the Insanity 60-day calendar, but I keep plugging away. Life, work, family commitments challenge my workout schedule, but I'm going to work Insanity nearly every chance I get (sometimes, I just like to get out and jog :) ).

10 Minute Trainer

I bought the 10 Minute Trainer DVDs and they are ok. What they fail to tell you is you must do 4 of them in a day. The reason I bought the 10 minute trainer was time restraints. I don't have 40 minutes to work out and thought 10 minutes of turbulence training was a great idea.

I don't quite like them.

Slim in Six / 10 Minute Trainer

I agree w/ June 22, 2010 12:06 am poster. It works and its tough. but it is B O R I N G......lol the music definately has to go. I use to play my own music, and yes the counting is off.

I recently got the 10 minute trainer set as well and have only tried them a handful of times. I plan on using it for the days that I'm extremely short on time. June 22, 2010 6:42 a.m. poster, you dont *have* to do the four sets in one day, that's just to get the maximum results. Maybe you can carve out separate "10 min. segments" in your day to get maybe 2 of them in. I did sweat alot.

Original poster, I have joined your team =)

p90x is too much of a time commitment for me in the mornings. Esp the yoga and kenpo workouts. I love TurboJam and Zumba.

Just ordered 10 minute trainer and TurboFire. We shall see which I send back. I liked TurboJam but I'm bored with it after five years.

Beachbody is the worst. You always gain it back. In my experience anyway.

Gaining back lost weight is not a workout program's fault!

P90X

It was difficult for me to stick with the program (it was intense) I'd like to eventually get back into the program - but with the shape I'm in now I need to go for a few gym sessions first. I also find it a little hard because you need extra equipment (like the push up bar thing) which can get to be a little hard to use if you don't have the space for it. (found out my doorways were too big)

Certain programs

Websites like Reddit include subreddits devoted to fitness and certain programs where you could participate in conversations mapquest driving directions. Local Meet-ups: Look for local fitness organizations that could center BeachBody or related initiatives on websites like Meetup.com.
