I'm not Jennifer Aniston or Vince Vaughn, and I don't work at their bank and I'm not their wedding planner, but, my wedding is going to cost $40,000 (not my choice or decision, before you all berate me for it), so it wouldn't surprise me if they could make theirs $8M. Especially if that includes things like putting their friends up in some fancy resort hotel for a few nights, at, say, a few thousand a night per room, and fly them all in on private jets, things that don't sound out of the question for such celebrities.

Now...
I like Jennifer Aniston- my feeling is that celebrity culture promotes quick marriages and quicker rebounding! It's so unhealthy- not only for them but I think regular people see that and get into the same mind-set. Did you hear Brangelina is no more? That poor kid.

Vince and Jen have been rumored to be together for a good year now. My fiance and I got engaged after a year, it's not that uncommon! Though we're taking an extra 13 months to plan the wedding (it's going to be next September!) but we're pretty young; I know people who are older than us who get married after knowing each other for 6 months! Jen and Vince's speed to the alter is not of concern; it's the rest of the Hollywood lifestyle... Remember, even though they play 20-something's on television at times, really, the're around 40.

One of my friends from college got engaged after 4 weeks (and it was via a blind date!) She remained married until she paassed away from leukemia a few years ago.

Regarding expensive marriages....

My friend is cardiologist and went to a florist to inquire about flowers. She was floored when they came up with a price tag of $15,000 for FLOWERS....
To top it off, the florist was some designer (like the "Vera Wang" of florists), but apparently, they didn't care for her business, since they sent her the quote but put someone else's name on the quote.

Needless to say, that error made her decision (in addition to the outrageous pricing). For $15,000, I would expect to have gold flowers on my table and about 5,000 roses!!
