CONFUSED

I HAVE BEEN WORKING OUT FOR 7 WEEKS NOW AND THOUGH MY BODY LOOKS VERY DIFFERENT, MY WEIGHT HASN'T CHANGED ON THE SCALE. IT ACTUALLY SAYS THAT I GAINED 2 POUNDS. WHATS GOING ON? SOME HELP PLEASE, I'M FREAKING ABOUT THIS.

Don't worry, I am having the same thing happen. If you have little to lose it will take longer to see results. Just remember that your clothes look/fit better and you are more healthy. Think positive!

i have been there also. just keep in mind the more muscle you make, the more calories get burned. there is a level off point , each persons body is diff., as long as you are eating healthy, exercising, and being honest with yourself everything else will fall into place.

Be aware that while you might continue to lose inches (or centimetres), you might not lose weight as fast as you would like. Muscle is denser than fat and building muscle, while a good thing, may mean more of a "redistribution" of weight than a weight loss. It's all good though, that muscle will help you in your longer term weight loss goals. Measuring your waist line (or whether your pants are looser) may be a better indicator of your weight loss progress than weighing yourself.

This is sort of happening to me too, right now. Scale is not budging but the pants and drooping! Don't panic, I've been through this before! It will happen!

MONITOR MORE THAN JUST SCALE WEIGHT!!!!

The key is to monitor more than just scale weight to track your progress!!! And PLEASE, NEVER throw in the towel on your weightloss journey based on the feedback you're getting from the scale!!!!

I've lost 9 inches, but only 5 lbs. I attribute that to loss of fat and gaining muscle. If your clothes are fitting better, don't despair, your body is redistributing the fat and msucle.

Eventually, once it's re-distributed you'll probably start seeing changes on the scale! :-)

Put it this way, 2 people could weigh the same amount and be the same height, but 1 could be a lot fatter than the other because they carry more fat vs. muscle!
