I Got Botox This Week

I've been hating the vertical lines between my eye brows for a long time. Recently while out celebrating by XXth birthday, someone passing by said, "Cheer up." That was the final straw. I was feeling very cheerful, but the lines make me look angry all the time.

So my question is, how long before the Botox takes effect? It's been 3 days and a few hours. I see no difference in the lines and the area is not paralyzed at all. Can anyone with Botox experience tell me if this is normal and what to expect?

I had it once for the same reason. The dr. told me to try not to move that part much or the botox wouldn't work as well. It took a few days for it to take effect. I haven't done it since then because it didn't last very long, and it migrated, caused my eye to droop, and I had to pay an extra $500 to see a neurologist because it looked like I'd had a stroke! I understand that's not a normal reaction! But I've come to accept that flaw...not worth it again for me!

I have Botox injections. They work for me. They don't make me look like I'm 17 but I'm happy for the help I can get. (I was born in the first half of the last century!)
When the plastic surgeon injects the Botox he tells me to frown repeatedly for the next three or four hours to help distribute the drug. I have not experienced "paralysis". The effect is more subtle than "paralysis".
We don't know the condition of your face. Sooner or later the facial tissues become so lax and/or wrinkled that Botox isn't enough and the condition may require surgical revision.
There are other things plastic surgeons can do too! Techonolgy and medicine march on!
