Emotional component to weight loss??

Hi! I joined this forum because of a thread I stumbled across (and now can't find :( ).
I have created the "perfect" diet plan - 1400 calories a day, at least 5 portions of fruit and veg, 3 main meals plus two snacks and a low calorie hot chocolate in the evening - everything I need, want and that has worked for me in the past. I am committing to the gym four times a week but this has never been a problem for me as I love working out.
However, I have been asking myself about a possible third component when it comes to weight loss. Like many people, I know how to eat right. I like to work out. So why, then, am I still 197lbs?!
After doing a lot of thinking and analyzing, I've realized that I have a tendency to eat uncontrollably - but only in certain places and only certain foods. And I've come to a kind of strange conclusion...
I think I am afraid to lose weight. I really, desperately want to, but I think my subconcious way down deep might disagree a little. I've had a rough year (had my heartbroken, moved to another city, had financial problems). I really like my life right now. I'm living at home for the next few months, finances are sorted, am around my friends again. However, I am an actress, and in five months I am going to be moving to Los Angeles, and I'm nervous and scared - excited too - but my life is going to change.
Losing weight will be a huge change, as will moving to L.A. I think I equate the two, and it's almost as if when I'm binge eating (mostly in the evenings, sometimes during the day) it's like I'm putting off moving to L.A. After all, when the weight loss happens, so will L.A. (Two pounds a week for the next five months means I'll be about 145ish when I move.)
I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, and I know I've gone on a lot, but it was a mini revelation for me tonight to actually figure out the reason I'm not eating like a normal person. Now I know the problem, I just need to find a solution. :)
