I've recieved chirorpractic treatments for years. I wonder if your adjustment released some tension around the spine and your body was experiencing the normal flow of cerebrospinal fluid to the brain. Should be better the next day. If not, contact your chiropractor.

Try to not do much after a treatment. Your body needs time to adjust to the changes that took place. Try to work out first, then get treatment, then take it easy for the rest of the day. Also, make sure you are drinking extra water to flush your system. Take care.

I'm often spacy after a chiro adjustment. If my problem is really bad, I get that hit-by-a-truck feeling too for about 36 hours.

When your vertebrae are put back into place, normal oxygen and blood flow return to the problem areas, making you a little dizzy. This also happens from getting a massage, especially if you have knots in your upper back. However, if your vertebrae have been out of place for a while, like a month or two, the sudden restoration of normal blood and oxygen can be so drastically different that you need a day or two to recover.

I'm a massage therapist, not a chiro -- but I have had chiro treatment for various problems (whiplash, sciatica, random nonsense) for over 18 years.

My husband used to go through the same thing after a chiro appointment. Now he gets a little like this after massages. I know I'm a little spacy after acupuncture. Fortunately, I'm just going back to work!!! My acupuncturist always reminds me to drink lots of water (I do anyway). LIke everyone else has said, it's normal.

I get spacey too sometimes after an adjustment, and definately after a massage. One time I just had to sit there for 1/2 hour after a massage. I absolutely felt intoxicated and woozy! I like to just let things settle in after an adjustment, seems to work better for me.

I sometimes go to the gym right after the chiro and have never had a problem. Could just be me, but I would talk to your doc.
