faking abs
I have tryouts this weekend for an Cheersquad, I do not have the 6pac i was hoping for by now. I'm going to use makeup and shading to create bigger breast, but I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to use make up to create abs with makeup and shading?
Thanks in advance.

I saw Mariah carey do this in a photo in my US magazine. She made put the foundation slightly darker in the middle line and the lines separating it and then blended in to each center of the "beer can". She totally denied doing it but it was really obvious. I guess what I'm saying is, it's hard to make this subtle without people being able to tell right away.

Try cutting your carbs this week (carbs contribute to water retention esp. in midsection) and daily ab exercises. I would also do tons of crunches on the day of the tryout - so your muscles pumped up. Not recommended, but on the day of the tryout maybe cut some fluids - sweat out exercising (remember not too excessive). Remember it's just a temporary not a very healthy fix - your body will plump up as soon as you replenish your fluids, I would only do it for a very short period of time (couple of hours) if it really matters to show off your muscles...

Just take some bronzer and go along your natual oblique curves on the sides.. not too dark though... just like shadowing on a picture... then follow the natural center ab cut with an even lighter bronzer stroke or shade.. then lightly go across if you want the full pac... altho it will look less fake if you just do the sides!

thanks ladies, still open to more suggestions.
I'm going to work out hard core this week, not only on my abs, but my arms and legs as well. I didn't think about cutting out carbs so i'm gonna have to try and work on that, and I'm going to sub out the soda for water.

I suggest upping your water intake because carbonated beverages will make you bloated. Cut back on the salt also. Unfortunately you can't fake abs. Most people with the 6 packs have them genetically or they don't eat as in Janet Jackson when she had her washboard abs - she was only eating 500 cals a day but look at her today. Not so good. If you have the self confidence that will get you noticed. Be outgoing, smile a lot and act like you have no worries in the world. There is nothing stronger than a strong will.

The last post was untrue, if you don't have abs you can get them, you just have to do cardio workouts and burn off the extra fat, some ab exercises will make your abs bigger and you will notice them, genetically some people have a predisposition to accumulate abs faster and more prominent like, but anybody can get them if you try, sometimes it just takes time. To answer your question, if you have somewhat definition, use bronser all over your body so there isn't a difference in color from one body part to the next and it won't be so noticeable. The color will show off all muscles visible, not just the abs, the reason for this is the amount of color the eye receives from the reflection of the body, if its white you can't see the little curves of the body as well. If there isn't even a hint of muscle definition I wouln't even try, and like the last post be outgoing, smile, and be confident. One more thing, I wouldn't try cutting calories or carbs or water before the tryouts because you'll just become fatigued and your energy level will drop causing you to not do so well in the tryouts which in my opinion could hurt you worse then if you didn't have abs, think about it. The tryouts are to see if you have enough skill and excitement to be on the cheersquad, not if you have abs, plus if they really want you to have them, they will get you into shape so that they can see them. Good luck at the tryouts.

I use a self tanner to fake my abs during swim suit season. Not a lot of tanner, just a littler, blended really well.

I agree with the poster 2 above me about not dehydrating yourself-- that could lead to trouble, and you want to be at maximum physical condition at your try-outs... :-)
on the subject of "faking" the abs and such-- I seem to recall on the Tyra Banks show she talked about using a little shimmery stuff on the fronts of legs and arms to "slenderize" them-- maybe you could use a little bronzer and then the shimmery stuff to highlight the abs.
In the meantime, good luck on your try-outs. Although having a 6-pack of abs might be nice, it's probably more important that you perform at your peak levels! :-)

Thank y'all so much for y'alls comments!
as far as my diet this week I am cutting out bad carbs, like bread and very sugary items like candy (besides the rollos i'm addicted to). I'm upping my water intake and limiting myself to one coke a day. The day before tryouts I plan on eating some sort of wheat pasta for the carbs and energy.
Faking abs.. well I'm not going to "paint" anything on, I am going to follow most of y'alls advice and use a little bit of bronzer. I do not fake bake or tan, so I have been using that jergans lotion that over time makes you a little bit darker.
My goal this weekend is to make it past round one. HAHA! Every year that I try out I cant seem to make it past round one. I found this round to be the hardest becuase your compeating with about 1,500 girls and the judges for round 1 are corporate males. I dont have the big boobs, big hair, or big ass to grab their attention, although my dance skills did seem to be right on level with some of the girls that advanced. We'll see what happends. I'm only 23 and my goal is the make the squad before i'm 38.
SHort term goal for this weekend- make it past round 1
simi long term goal- make the squad before i'm 38
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU LADIES FOR Y'ALLS ADVICE AND WELL WISHES!
