Inspiration
I don't know if she is going to get mad at me for posting this, but a lady in our group had a post a month back and she changed it and posted it again. It gave me a great amount of power and understanding as she knew what I was going through. I asked her if I could print it out, and she said yes. You know who you are <3
I do this for all the people who loved me when I looked horrible
I do this for all the time I thought I looked bad and someone thought I looked good
I do this for all the future men in my life who deserve a girl who is confident and loves herself
I do this for all the girls who can’t do this alone
I do this for all the guys who can’t do this alone
I do this for me
I do this for you
I do it for my life.
I'm doing this for all the people who have ever looked at me the wrong way
Everyone who said I would look good if I was thinner
For everytime I felt like I was the fattest in the room
For all the times I've tried
For all the times Ive failed
For all the times I'll try again
For all the clothes I could never wear
For all the times Ive had to say " is there a bigger size?"
For all the times my friends got compliments
For all the pitty compliments I have gotten
For all the people who said I wasnt thin, but wasnt fat
For all the times I wished I was thin
For all the times I wanted to be thin
For all the times I knew I could work out but didnt
I want them to drop their jaws
I want to be the fittest person in the room
I want to be healthy and well
I want to be happy
I want to be noticed
I want people to look at me rather then my fat
I'm tried of people feeling sorry for me
I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired
I'm ready to change
I'm ready to work out
I'm ready to eat better
I am ready to be thin.
The time is now... the time is now.. the time has always been now.
Because the past is a memory and the future is a thought.. all we have is now.. and with this moment we can do anything.
I will be thin because I believe I will be. I will fit into those clothes. I will be the true me I am hiding right now. I will be fit, thin and happy
This is for everyone who thought they couldn't do it. Who have tried and failed more times then they can count.
You are not alone. Never alone. Anyone who has even felt one of these lines you have a friend in me. I understand and I feel your pain.
For anyone and all the tears you've cried...
For anyone and all the fears you have had
For anyone and all the comments, the faces and the looks
And for all the people who know I have it in me… and I know you have it in you
I do this for you...

I cried in a dressing room a few times trying on swim suits a few years ago.
That motivated me more than anything else has.
I won't ever cry in a dressing room again...

I comepletly agree! I don't think the emotional side of losing weight is captured often, and I like how someone actually put those emotions to name, in terms of losing weight !

Thank you to the poster and to the person who wrote this. I think this is a perfect example of what PT does best. I've felt so many of the emotions stated in this post and it's so good to know that I'm not alone in it, and WE can all do this.
Thank you for sharing so openly. You're an inspriation.

I think "failing" lies in NOT trying. If one tries over and over again, but cannot achieve one's goal and gives up, THAT is what I'd call failing. Trying over and over again is just that-TRYING. your words are thought provoking!

I guess I am my own inspration, I am tired of being just the Skinny Girl. I wanna be the girl with mean muscles!

I think we should all do something like this for ourselves. It clearly helped the OP and I think I am going to write down my feelings right now!!!! Thanks for posting your thoughts.
