I know it's a workout regimen...I was SO tempted to buy it when I saw an infomercial on it. I love the look of all the exercises. I'd love to hear from those who have purchased it. I'm curious what their nutrition program is like.

I'd also love to know more about it. I've watched the informercials on TV and I have been working out like a fiend for the past six months. Although I have reached and surpassed my goals, I want to be ripped and that product claims to do that in 3 months. If anyone has used it chime in. I want to know if it is worth my effort and money.

I have P90x and I love it, that being said there are a few things that you should know before you go out and spend the money (and it is expensive).
1. You need to already be a good shape to start there is a fitness test in the book that you get to make sure that you are even ready to start. (yes its that hard)
2. You will need weights or bands and keep in mind that the stronger you get the more you will need, a chinup bar, a yoga mat and yoga blocks if you aren't good at yoga
3. You will need to be able to work out 7 days a week some days more than an hour.
4. You will need plenty of space
5. You will need lots of motivation (it is as hardcore as it looks)
If these things sound doable to you than by all means try P90x because its awesome and you will see results and feel so much stronger.

11:37 - thanks for that info!! It makes sense that you've got to be committed and work your a$$ off to get those kinds of results! Any input on the nutrition part?

11:37 - how long have you been doing it and are you getting the results? I am the 11:20 poster and I am in the best shape of my life but I know I can get even better. This looks the the product that can do it for me.

Does p90x work?

Try the "pre test" available from the website to see if this is right for you.

It's not for beginners.

The 11:37 poster outlined the P90X program very well!

I've done it myself but had trouble sticking to the outlined regimen - I supplement my original routine with P90X work outs every once in a while, when I have the time and space available!

Like 11:37 said - you already have to be in good shape, and they are very time-consuming workouts that require a lot of space and extra equipment, like a mat, weights, bands, chin-up bar, yoga blocks, etc. But if you want to be hardcore, P90X is a pretty awesome program. Even though I don't use them everyday I would definitely recommend P90X if you're motivated! :)

This is a complete exercise and nutrition program designed to get you in shape and lose weight. In order to do so however, you have to follow a very, very regimented program. I got the dvd’s to supplement my exercise program and while I am in pretty good shape, some of them are pretty tough. If you can’t pass the fitness test, I would not bother spending your money since you will quickly give up on them. As for the money, you can find these a lot cheaper on places like craigslist etc. . . The DVDs were made a few years ago and are hard, but doable. Also, you can just pause or rest during them if you need to. The nutrition program is fine if you know little about it, but its pretty basic. It does however tell you what to eat if you want to lose weight. . . veg, fruit, chick, salmon, duh. . . it does lay it out for you so like I said its good if you are new to this game. If you follow the program, you create a pretty hefty calorie deficit while working out probably a lot more than you are used to . . if you are stressed or busy, this may or may not be and additional burden in your life.

Net, I spent $50.00 on the tapes and use them in my workout and love them. . I chucked the rest.

p90x

i am currently in the second month of p90x. the first month i lost 19 lbs. checkout beachbody.com for more info. i assure you this video workout is great for those who want to achieve overall fitness and durability.
there are 3 workout plans to follow, they all consist of 90 days. obviously changing my diet has also helped me drop 19lbs.
some things you may need depending on your goals. some dumbells or resistance bands.
pull up bar
yoga mat and yoga block ( recommend yoga block for those who are not flexible yet)
heart rate monitor ( to see if you are working as hard as you should be, when purchasing i highly recommend doing research on the product first.

It works like gangbusters...

Don't let the infomercial sales pitch turn you off, the program works like gangbusters if you're dedicated and willing to follow the workouts and nutrition guide. Highly recommended.

There are a number of reviews on this at Amazon.com and some of them are very detailed and thoughtful. I'm actually working out with the goal of getting in good enough shape to do this.

Where did you purchase P90X? I've heard a mix of complaints about beachbody ripping people off because they do the payments in 3 installments instead of all together and some people were saying they threw in extra charges?

I'm very interested in starting this work-out - just a little uneasy about buying it online.

I bought it online from their website and had no issues. I think I paid all at once vs. installments, though. One annoying thing - they offer you about 6 different - This Time Only - 'specials' as you're trying to checkout. I passed on all of them at the time of checkout only to go back a month later and buy the chin up bar.

Awesome - Thanks! I didn't realize that you could choose to pay it in full instead of the installments.

My brother is doing P90X and he has lost some major weight in a short amount of time. He has gotten tough and buff from it too and looks great. Its too bad I can't do it. It would be tough on my knees and me heart. Both of which are sensitive.

P90x real or phony??

This thing is the real deal. I have been using it for 30 days and i believe the hardest part is the first 2 weeks. After you start getting your body in a routine of getting its lazy but up and pushing play. Its all good from there ... Result city I''m telling you..
