Poll: how many times a day to you come in to log?
I'm wondering if I'm obsessive! I come in about 5 times a day.
Thu. Mar 2, 4:10pm
A couple of times per day... after breakfast, after lunch... sometimes somewhere else in between.
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:15 PM
i feel like i've become semi-addicted to PT. on average i log on 3-4 times/day. i try to log on after every meal, and sometimes i log on after my afternoon snack. in the evening, i browse around the community after updating my log. HTH.
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:22 PM
It's open in my Internet Explorer and I update/refresh/comment my entire day at work!
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:24 PM
If you feel obsessive at 5, what does that make me? Once every hour or two during my waking hours. I post comments to all my groups, and the community and plan future meals and workouts. Read what others are saying, look at other groups to see what they're doing.
I figure once the "newness" of it wears off I will slow down to five a day. ;<)

Why aren't you people in my groups!!!
I log in ~5x a day too. Keeping my logs religiously up-to-date helps keep me on track throughout the day.
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:43 PM
At least 5 times a day if I am home. I have gotten great support and tips here so I plan on checking it a lot.
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:44 PM
I do not count how many times a day I log in. First thing in the morning to check my group and see if there are comments to respond to etc... after breadfast and a couple of time before lunch for sure... after lunch then periodically throughout the afternoon.... after dinner then after my workout and off and on until bedtime. I check the community frequently to see what is happening and continually check my groups to see if my members have posted and see how they are doing with their day. Yah... obsessive maybe... but it helps keep me accountable too...
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 4:50 PM
I'm here several times a day... I keep my log up to date, and I always check out the postings here in the community section.
people in my groups don't post too many comments... some don't even update logs...
i'm always checking in though... see what's new here, and if anyone has posted anything in my groups

4-5 times a day..it keeps me motivated.. and I can't wait to add things that I have done to my list :)
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 6:39 PM
I log in alot. 5 times would be a slow day. I log in everytime I eat a meal or snack. I log in to update my water, so I amke sure I am getting enough. I log in to check to see how my group is doing and to make sure no one goes into crisis mode, also the community site as well. I don't think I will slow down anytime soon. I am activily on all the time for the past 2 months.
Thursday, March 2, 2006, 6:45 PM
check out my groups and the community pages often
but I probably only log 3 times a day, unless something has put me off schedule. I love checking for new comments amongst my various groups and seeing what threads I can comment on. I agree it can become slightly obsessive!

i log on about 3 times a day, but i am just starting. find this a wonderful website. where people welcome and support you

Thanks for asking this question!! I was worried that I was a little weird for being so attached to Peertraining! It's a bright spot in my day to see what people are saying. :) So I'm on the page about 3-6 times a day, checking to see if group members have responded to my posts, etc. I joined 5 groups because I really like the interaction with people. (And two of the groups are REALLY "quiet" in terms of posting. Silent, really.)

i used to be addicted to myspace . . haha, i haven't been on there in a week! i probably log in to peertrainer 3 or 4 times a day. i find it helpful to "see" what i've eaten before i make choices about what else to eat that day. yay peertrainer!!

Keep in mind that the people who probably read the community posts are more than likely the people who read/post more often. Those that don't post more often are probably less likely to use all the other features (besides logging their food). Just my opinion, of course.

I ususally come by in the mornings, and then at night. I don't have access to the computer very often at work, so stopping by during the day is not always possible. When I do have some extra time, I love going through the community and see what everyone is doing. Also try and read the blogs every couple of days.
Friday, March 3, 2006, 7:29 AM
Depends on the day, 3 - 6 times.

Looking for active posters!
I am also a very active poster. I try to log on at least after every time i eat. But, i often log on to check out the Community Chat Logs.
Are there any groups within these active posters that are looking for new members?

I usually log on 3-5 times a day. It helps me stay accountable and I always check for new comments in my group or add a comment. I'm relatively new to PT and am in a couple groups, both of which have openings, so same as above, I would love some frequent posters! Here are my groups. Please join if you find them appealing!
Fat to Fit Moms
Summer's comin!

Shoot, if I were to count the number of times I logged in, you'd think I was obsessing... LOL
I peek in all day every day while at work. :-) ON the weekends, I tend to log in only after meals & workouts.
Saturday, March 4, 2006, 6:19 PM
While at work I try to log in after a meal/snack and to check my group comments and then again in the evening to sum up my day. Fri-Sun I'm not around the computer much, so just in the evening after everything is done. I would probably spend more time here if I could!

I check in about 3-6 times a day. I have one group that is active but the others might log in once a week and they are the ones that complain that they haven't lost any weight. Wish I could find some active groups with people who log in everyday? Maybe everyone on this page could get a group going together. Just a thought.

funny that you mention the more active groups are the ones where people lose more weight. Interesting how that works!
Tuesday, March 7, 2006, 9:18 AM

Tuesday, March 7, 2006, 10:39 AM

Tuesday, March 7, 2006, 10:49 AM
about 20 times a day...hahaha. No kidding, but around 10 - 12. It's the only way I know how to lose weight and seeing a comment really helps me.
