Favorite workout videos? Suggestions please?GREATLY appreciated!!!
I just bought 2 new workout videos- Carmen Electra's Strip tease and Billy Blanks workout video. Notice how they were very different? I thought if i didnt like one, i would surely like the other - well, no, i was wrong. The Stripteaseone was ok, but Billy's killed me- i thought it was so cheesy!
Does anyone have any motivational videos?
Or one they just really geta GREAt ass kicking workout from?
I would greatly appreciate it! :)

I've always loved Cindy Crawford's Shape Your Body Workout. It's years old and I'm sure you could get it online somewhere pretty cheap. It's just her and her personal trainer, Razu, or Raul or something like that. It's an awesome workout! Plus you don't need much in the way of equipment. It's not snazzy or anything, but it's not stupid and it gets the job done.

I like 10 minute toning. They also have 10 minute cardio, pilates etc but I haven't tried them. The toning one is simple (no fancy footwork) and only requires dumbells. It a good workout without being cheesy.

An earlier thread
I had put the same question on the community board few months back and the below is a link to that thread. I finally bought the Firm, cindy crawford next challenge & denise austin pilates and I've loved all three, but it also depends on what problem areas you want to target. For me it was the abs, buns primarily and I was also fairly active and athletic. Have a look.

Carmen Electra's #2 is the best one of her series and is a great workout. It is taught by a personal trainer, not by her.
10 Minutes Solution : Pilates (is great and quick, easy to fit in your schedule.)
Tamilee Webb's : I Want That Body
For Yoga: Yoga Shakti by Shiva Rea or David Swenson : Short Forms Ashtanga
Belly Dancing: The Goddess Workout : By Dolphina, I have the intro and the Veil routine and love them.
Tribal Fusion: By Rachel Brice (belly dance and yoga)
Good Luck and Enjoy :)

some ideas....
Netflix has workout dvds among their selections, including the Crunch, Firms,
Tae Bo and much more-nice way to try before you buy, and I love their movie selection and service too....
Also don't overlook your library for fitness dvds/videos. Most libraries have an online search, so you can locate and borrow items from the entire system and have it sent to your local branch.
I love reading reviews at videofitness.com. They are usually very thorough and breakdown the actual workout. I will use this and the above mentioned collagevideo.com to preview-I have saved alot of money and avoided duds by doing this.
Lastly, don't overlook ebay and half.com to purchase or sell your fitness dvds.
There is also a swap board at videofitness.com.
My favorites include Gin Miller, Tamilee Webb and Cathe Freidrich; Gilad is great too. But you need to find someone YOU click with. Nothing worse than trying to workout to someone you find annoying. Good luck.

I love doing The Firm (I bought the first set for myself for my birthday in late 2002 when I was at 202 pounds) and got great results! The only problem is it's an investment because you have to get a special step with it. But on the other hand, if you love the videos it's so worth it! Another suggestion is Cathe videos (cathe.com). Her stuff is more intermediate/advanced if that's what you're looking for just check what equipment is required if you don't want to be stuck buying a bunch of new stuff. She's generally good about saying,"'if you don't have this use this." But, some things are hard to get around. Hope this helps!

I second the Turbo Jam. It's really fun, & I like the teacher (Chalene, Johnson, I think?). I've heard some people say she's too perky, but she's different from Denise Austin & other way-too-happy people. Maybe check out the web site (it's through beachbody.com, there's an infomercial about it) to see if it would help you.
