Chemical Brothers

I love dancing to house music. Any of the big electronica names like Paul Oakenfold or Chemical Bros will get you going too. If rock alternative's more your thing, The Killers new album's always a great time.

good rap songs

Pick songs that if you were at a club, you'd be like "oh my jam is on, let's dance". Or any song that gets you pumped. So sounds like you want some recommendations though:
Usher- Yeah!
Ciarra- 1,2, Step
Baby Bash- Who wit me?
Eminem- Lose Yourself
Black Eyed Peas- Pump It (almost any BEP song, this is a good new one)
Destiny's Child- Jumpin, Jumpin
Jay-Z- Dirt off your Shoulder
Kanye West- New Workout Plan

& that Family Affair song is Mary J. Blige (which is a great song for a running mix)

Green Day

2:03 poster- did you steal my playlist? :)

I also like to incorporate AC/DC, along with what I call my "hockey game music" (basically harder rock that would be played on the game- think late 80's early 90's)
The rest of my playlist is punk:
Fallout Boy
Green Day
Something Corporate (Straw Dog, Fall, & If You See Jordan are all good running songs- for me anyway)

I also pick some songs from movies that I like/identify with- they make me laugh and keep me entertained because I 'see' the scene in my head.
(Think soundbyte of the "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" scene from Top Gun)

70's disco music

Anything from the 70's will get you moving. Don't laugh, but.. okay laugh because even as I think it it sounds funny. Every time I hear "Funkytown" I wanna do a grapevine. lol

I love house music to exercise to. I guess I'm showing my age, but I prefer the stuff from the early 90's, the bass line keeps me goin.

Disco has a good beat. 60 bpm which makes it very easy to dance to. I think to exercise though, you'd almost have to double time.

workout songs for your ipod

you need to have a hi BPM (beats per minute) song that will get you going...the BPM should be around what your heart beat is....i usually start out at 140 and work up to 160....i usually stay with in a ten point range with my music...there is a nifty little tool that will scan all your music and tell you what the BPM is....
go to: http://www.mixmeister.com/download_freestuff.html
you want the BPM analyzer....just follow all the directions...and let it scan all your music....now...the part they dont explain that i figured out was that in order for the bpm to show up in itunes...you need to manually play each song....so i have over 2000 songs in itunes and had to click play on EVERY one...lol...it took some time but its sooooo worth it for my workout...

im gonna try to export my itunes play list so i can post it on here...

The Black and White Album by The Hives is brilliant for running. And it's about 45 minutes long which is about how long I go for. Just try it, there are songs on it that have pushed me to go faster than I thought I could just because I wanted to keep up with the beat.

Anything with a constant moving beat that makes your body want to move.
Rap music works, any fast moving R&B song will make you want to dance and move the muscles in your body. It mainly depends on what you like and what moves you, I am a music person and dancer so I like everything. I would suggest trying different music until you get it right! It really can pump up your work outs!

I find anything that curses gets me pumped up! Not gross cursing, but just a little F You! gets my stress and aggression out and makes me push through when I'm running. Some faves include:

Hollaback Gilrl , Gwen Stefani
Crazy, Guns N Roses
Sexy Back, Justin Timberlake (I know, far cry from GNR but it works)

podrunner

yeah, well there plenty of free podcasts or

whatever on the internet that are

supposedly "designed" for workouts, but

remember -- you get what you pay for -- the

creators of these podcasts have to rely on

"free" music...... they can't license real

hits, they could never afford to .... if

you look carefully at the playlists, you'll

realize they are all either outdated techno

from back in the 90's, or they are really

"underground" (i.e. terribly, terribly

boring) tracks, with just a beat going

forever until u want to kill yourself --

....

If you want something that's really going

to get you motivated and keep you

motivated... I recommend the "Euro Club

Hits" series -- it's on iTunes -- you can

just search for it, or try this link:

I love my playlist!

Do It Well (with Ludacris)--Jennifer Lopez
You Can't Count on Me--Counting Crows
Sexy Back--Justin Timberlake
Stronger--Kayne West
You're so Damn Hot--OK Go
Money Maker--Ludacris
Take me Home Tonight--Eddie Money
Hey Ya!--Outkast
Steady as She Goes--The Raconteurs
Beautiful Girls--Sean Kingston
Rehab--Amy Winehouse
Whenever, Wherever--Shakira
Crazy Bitch--Buckcherry
Wasted--Carrie Underwood
Ready to Run--Dixie Chicks

As you can see, it's a really varied mix, which for me keeps my attention.

I have another mix that seriously motivates me, but it would't really make sense to anyone else...basically what I did is take songs that remind me of times when I was at my best weight (songs from freshman year of college) or songs that remind me of a guy in my past, basically to say, hey, baby, wait until the next time you see me and I have a slammin' body! So sad for you! : ) Then some of them are songs by women who I really think have awesome bodies, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, etc. I know, it sounds really silly, but those days when the workout's really hard, it seriously helps.

Good luck!

Fast Workout Songs

I do fast-paced aerobics and need music with a high enough BPM.

Many of the songs listed here work better for weight training or jogging.

Here is my list- works like a charm if you've really got to move it! :)

SANDSTORM - Darude (May recognize it from Mortal Kombat- the techno theme song of Mortal Kombat works pretty well too!)

Very Fast:

BLOW YOUR MIND - Lock & Load
TRANCE MEGAMIX - Sandstorm Vs Blow Your Mind
Pump It - Black Eyed Peas

Fast:

Satisfaction - Paul O's remix
Crazy Sexy Marvellous (Club Mix) Paffendorf
Eric Prydz - Call on Me
Gloria - Laurie Brannigan (Flashdance)
Rasputin - Boney M
Days Go By - Dirty Vegas
Tuning In vs Mortal Kombat - Hadouken
Hung Up or Sorry - Madonna
Beat It - Michael Jackson
Nightmare - Brainbug
If I Ever Feel Better - Phoenix (slower)
Silence - Delirium (Club Mix)
Pump Up The Jam - Technotronic
Think - James Brown
What Are you Waiting For - Gwen Steffani

It's a start anyways! :)

Thanks for asking the question. I have been trying to get suggestions for new music, and it's hard to just go onto I tunes and figure out what you want. I picked up a lot of good suggestions. My current fast movers are:

Linkin Park -- In the End
Trace Adkins -- I Got My Game On
Big & Rich -- Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy)

I'm not picky on genre as long as it can really get me moving.

Thanks.

dance dance dance!

I'm shocked there's no Ace of Base recommendations! Old school, but good beats. I also like Raze (techno-dance, kinda corny lyrics, but good beats!) and World Wide Message Tribe has good beats too. That's what I really need when I'm running or doing something fast-paced. Some good old Queen is fun, too! (We Will Rock You, Another one bites the dust, killer queen, etc.)

Eclectic, I know, but good beats are important!! And so is having fun!

good workout tunes.

hey... just adding my two cents here. I like listening to "Daft Punk" when i'm working out. It's electronic music that's pretty fast paced with strong beats to push you forward. It doesn't typically have many lyrics., which I personally find to be distracting... especially when I'm trying to run for a prolonged period of time.

dance music

Most electronic dance music gets me going...

House is great. Some trance (like Tiesto or Armin van Buren) sets a great pace for running. Drum and Bass is awesome too. Try Prodigy or Pendulum or Subsonik. There's also a sub-genre of EDM that you may not know called Hardcore. Darren Styles, Brisk, S3RL, Scott Brown... They play a lot of upbeat tracks that get you moving!

If you're able to stream music from your computer while you work out, try this website. It has different EDM channels that you can listen to and it's free!

Good workout music.

Breaking Benjamin- anything but songs like Breakdown, Until The End, Had Enough, So cold are good

Incubus- depending on your preference. S.C.I.E.N.C.E is weird fast paced and songs like A Certain Shade of Green and Vitamin Get blood pumping, Make Youself is uplifting and motivational with songs like Make Yourself, Privaledge and Drive.

Hoobastank- The song Pieces

Linkin Park- Hybrid Theory and the song Hit The Floor from Meteora are good. Meteora is great actually.

If you like rap, Eminem's first album Infinite can be a huge up-lift. The Songs It's Okay and Never Too Far are soft but have goos lyrics and are uplifting.

LostProphets are good also. The song Everybody's Screaming is good for running

System of a Down, T.I's Papertrail album. Rise Against, Sum 41

good one

The way nation states treat immigrant cultures 000-966 rarely falls neatly into one or another of the above approaches. The degree of difference with the host culture (i.e., "foreignness"), the 000-973 number of immigrants, attitudes of the resident population, the type of government policies that are enacted, and the effectiveness of those policies all 000-974 make it difficult to generalize about the effects. Similarly with other subcultures within 117-102 a society, attitudes of the mainstream population and communications between various cultural groups play a major role in determining outcomes. The study of cultures within a society is complex and research must take into account a myriad of variables.

Nothing with words

If you exercise along to songs with words, you usually get distracted and you focus more on the lyrics than burning calories. But if the song is upbeat and has no pauses and is very uplifting and active, go ahead, heres a playlist to help:

music?

I listen to metal and dubstep which is like dance music but with much more bass. The music I listen to make my adrenaline start pumping and makes me wanna get up and run a mile or two...but you have to have the certain taste of music in order for it to not just give you the urge to jump up and head to bathroom :@
Try looking up rihanna- rude boy(crispy remix) on YouTube to get a taste of dubstep...if you don't like it...then try something else XD

Okay, so I hate pop.

Not HATE, but really dislike it. R&B, meh, mainstream rap, ultra meh. Everyone know about disco so I wont go there.

This is my ultra favorite alternative/indie/experimental/out there workout sound track. All REALLY good songs that you may or may not know!

Balloons by Foals
The Reeling by Passion Pit
Jigsaw Falling Into Place by Radiohead
Your English Is Good by Tokyo Police Club
Sunrise by Yeasayer

In The Morning by Junior Boys
The Eraser (XXXChange Remix) by Thom Yorke

Workout Songs

If you still need inspiration over great workout tracks something really easy to do if think of a TV show you watch that's centered aroun an activity. 'Hellcats' is a great show that centers around cheerleeding in college. The soundtrack really makes you want to get up and about ('pump it' , 'my first kiss'). Also watching the characters do the routines is really motivational!! hope this helps x

Way to define choices for songs

To choose songs I just imagine the song and me doing a particular exercise (in most cases sit ups, skipping, press-ups etc.) along with the song in question - If I can see it in my head and it fits well I usually think that would be a good one. To begin with I was a bit skeptical with Lose Yourself because I'm not a huge fan of eminem, but there's no denying it's a hell of a workout tune!!

I like to run to metal, rap, and other motivating genres of music. While listening to this music, the mood rises up. I want to conquer new heights and improve myself.

As far as I see you got good advice and you definitely will enjoy new music soon. However, don't forget about the sound. You can check this and find the best bookshelf speakers under $1000. For me, it was really good news because I was in searching for a long time

You know, I lost my interest in sports and I seem to know who is to blame here. This is definitely social networks because I spend much time in it. Moreover, I decided to buy views on hypetik.com for tiktok. This platform is new and I have all chances to gain popularity within a short period of time.
