Keep me motivated!
Just finisthe my first week of peer trainer. i was a little under the weather so i really couldn't exercise the way i wanted, but i still lost a couple pounds by being careful wi/ my calorie intake. My big issue is carving out time for myself and being disciplined to stick to it. It's easy to get lazy or let other things get in the way. i want to be healthy and have energy for my two little boys and maybe even have more children. i need to get my body in a place where i'm happy before any of that can happen and i want wear jeans and look sexy! please give me any encouragement or advice you may have.
thanks so much!

Congratulations! We're so glad you've joined us on your journey towards fitness and better health.
Here's what works for me. Schedule your exercise and put it on the calendar. I also schedule time to chop veggies and prepare things such as hard boiled eggs and chicken breasts.
This may sound juvenile but I have a special calendar in my kitchen that is just for my food and exercise goals. Every day that I complete at least 30 minutes of planned exercise (not simply 'activity') I put a star sticker on the calendar for that day. I put a smiley face sticker for each day I follow my food goals for that day. I don't diet but I do have a list of 3 varying daily goals that I post in my PT log. Seeing my calendar month fill up with stickers is a wonderful, visual reminder that I am following through. On days I don't want to follow through, I ask myself, 'do I really want to see that day with no stickers?' and then I do it anyway. I always feel better afterward. Success breeds success. Just keep going and take the time to find all the little tricks that motivate you. Good luck and keep logging.

Getting enough sleep is a great start - it will help you recover from being sick and have the energy to exercise. It also takes a lot of energy to have the willpower to eat well. Good luck.

I highly recommend you read the articles on this site regarding the Beck Diet Solution - it's not a diet, but a support to help you change your habits and instill healthy thinking. I have had lots of success with this combined with Weightwatchers. I also use Beachbody's 10-Minute Trainer Videos for exercise, which is great because each workout is only 10 minutes (there are 5 in all), which we can always fit in. I usually do 3 a day, but it's nice to know I could do one or two if that's all I had the time or energy for. You can check it out and order it at Beachbody.com. Good luck!
