Correct form for ball crunches

I posted this in my group and was asked to share this with the community:

I thought I'd share an important workout tip I got from my trainer a while ago:

When your doing crunches on a ball the correct form is to sit on the ball then lean back enough that your shoulders should actually be hanging over the ball and are lower than your body. Many people think the correct way is to rest your shoulders and back on the ball however, you are using the ball as your stability so your defeating the purpose of using the ball. When you sit farther back on the ball, you'll notice you are using your abs to stabilize you.
I hope all that made sense! Just to give you an idea of if you are doing it right: Doing sit ups the incorrect way, I can probably do 40 or 45 no problem. Doing them the correct way, I'm struggling to get to 25 per set, especially on set 2 and 3!
