Something interesting that came to my mind.

An interesting thought came to me the other night. I had a memory about the time we found out that our daughter had a food allergy to ginger. I had taken my family out to eat and my daughter had ordered a stack of pancakes and a root beer. Half way through the meal, she became sick to her stomach and without too much detail, lost her meal. After that day, she blamed the butter that she had spread on her pancakes and refused to eat it for a couple of years. I had a similiar encounter with chocolate many years back and gave it up for a very long time. So the thought occured to me. We pass on our bad eating habbits to our kids and most of the time we are the ones that introduce the bad foods that our kids love so much to treat them or share with them an experience but what if changed that bad habbit. Instead of training our kids up on soda and chips and cookies, we could tell them from the start that those things are bad or if you want to go the extra mile, tell your kids that they are allergic to those things. I garuntee that if you kids think that they will get bumps or swell up or get sick by eating chocolate chips, they will stay away from them. My daughter is very leary of what is in the foods she eats and that attitude doesnt change when she is away from home. Its just an idea. I know parents lie to their kids all the time so why would this be any different? If you cant put the cake down for yourself, at least you can stop you kids from picking it up.
